Where to put best interconnects
First-best option is between source and preamp.   Second-best option is between preamp and amp.  Easy to test.  Put your best at preamp to amp first. Listen for a while.  Then, swap the best to the source-to-preamp, and notice the difference.
Need a modern Class A monoblock, preferably half or compact chassis
@photon46 ...and Luxman m700u amps I also own but have that class A sound that distinguishes them from the others.  I peeked at the KWA 99 monoblocks some, kinda pricey, using the Exicon Lateral Mosfets, and not sure if they are more of a Class...
Pass INT-25, split decision and maybe option?
@audiojan ..." these the most neutral, detailed, yet smooth cables I've tried."   Yep.  Exactly what the INT-25 is showing you more of too. More neutral, more detail, less bloom.  And so it goes.
Which inexpensive speaker cables...
To @b_limo it’s great to see you posting back on the forum again. Keep us posted on the results on the cables, and wherever you ended up getting them from. I was looking at the different LC-1 with higher capacitance vs. LC-2 on the bluejeans cable...
Pass INT-25, split decision and maybe option?
To @audiojan did you happen to notice the other cable thread and questions going on right now, one member posted something similar about your same SilverSmith Fidelium cables? I’d recommend you message this member [@sls883] and ask more and why t...
Pass INT-25, split decision and maybe option?
To @audiojan its not that we believe your INT-25 could not work, but we all have been in a situation where the sound was too much in one way or another and lacking in other areas compared to our "last" system setup, for example. Then we find ourse...
Pass INT-25, split decision and maybe option?
To @audiojan if I may suggest, its the combination of your INT-25, SilverSmith Fidelium cables, paired with your PAP speakers all together, exactly what and why you are hearing what you are enjoying less now if you are more into a system with warm...
Bryston?
Its a good thing I skipped a 4B3 buy to try then
Need a modern Class A monoblock, preferably half or compact chassis
Thanks Ralph @atmasphere for the note. Got it.  Yes, I try to read all of the reviews on all GaN and Class D amps, including reviews and feedback about yours too. Great progress on yours. Maybe I'll get a chance to hear them at a show some day. D...
All-in-One units for retiring audiophile & music lovers in 2025, say what?
To @livinon2wheels understood and I'm helping a few friends staying local that is.  To your point, you pretty much have to demo things these days anyhow to know that it's a good fit or not. Agree about crazy drivers on their phones and driver assi...
Getting a Divorce and can now buy floor standing speakers
If you dont ever want to get married again, just buy some giant Soundlabs. This helps to put the new priority on display, LOL!
Need a modern Class A monoblock, preferably half or compact chassis
@atmasphere decooney Isn’t it more about the sound rather than the class of operation?   Great question and I use to think so. Now I’m not quite certain any more. I was exposed to new doors through a local tech friend who use to work for Thres...
Your journey with lower-watt tube amps -- Can a kit be good enough?
"@atmasphere Feedback helps the amp reject that which is not the signal. Artifacts from wire, resistors, capacitors and transformers are not the signal, as well as noise from poor grounding, layout problems, line Voltage and so on. " Ralph can ...
Preamp for my CODA 5.5 amp
To @dpm2340 sorry for the slight derail on the thread there. Part of this does relate though for those comparing Pass, Coda, (smaller Class A 50w amps too) and we see the questions periodically pop up about "which preamp" to run with Pass, and sam...
Preamp for my CODA 5.5 amp
Thanks @yyzsantabarbara for the explanation. I'd probably gravitate more towards the Tyr then for a more "laid back" type of solid state sound you mention - good to know. Maybe something to test and compare down the road.  I'll first decide what I...
