Bluesound Vault Restore from Backup @llarry You are right, I do have it backed up, twice in fact. But when I wanted to reuse the first backup drive, it turns out you can’t reuse them. So basically I’m going to either end up with multiple backups on multiple drives or see what happen...
What power amp or integrated amp are you using with your Harbeth speakers @lak what subs did you get? Looking to add a sub to my 30.2’s, obviously different speakers, but still the harbeth sound and I want something that would be a good match for their voicing. Also, are you using line or the second set of speaker outpu...
Bluesound Vault Restore from Backup I have not needed to back up, hopefully never. But I did find out that their backup software uses a type of Unix, so the backup drive cannot be copied to another drive or PC. So you actually don’t have a backup that is useful for anything else but...
Luxman 590axii vs Pass Labs int 60 I compared the two and they both had The warm, class A clean sound I wanted without dealing with tubes. I would have been happy with either. Went with the Luxman for the extra features, A & B speakers, the headphone input, the MC input and the...
What are your thoughts on the "Edsels" of the audio history? @ericsch wow did your post mentioning soundcraftman EQ bring back memories. I used to sell them and also sold these 2-300 watt per channel soundcraftman amps and Sold them with Cerwin Vegas with 15 inch woofers. Led Zepplin, Molly Hatchet, AC-DC...
What power amp or integrated amp are you using with your Harbeth speakers @ghulamr It took me a long time to save up and I also had to trade in some equipment. But it's something I won't need to upgrade or replace for many, many years. I wish you the best of luck in getting one.
Whats on your turntable tonight? @slaw - Delta Time! Just got the 180gram LP last week - gonna wear it out in a week if I'm not careful.
Have you changed your mind about a brand? Was it you, or them? McIntosh. Dreamed about owning a Mc amp/pre and finally after 20+ years got it. Had it 5 years and tried three different speakers and never connected to it, never really enjoyed the sound. Loved the meters.....
What power amp or integrated amp are you using with your Harbeth speakers My current set-up is a Luxman AX590II, full class A with the 30.2's Sure, a little more power would be nice when I'm cranking the Stones at 100db, but I don't do that much and even then, it's an amazing combination. I had them with a McIntosh amp/...
Whats on your turntable tonight? I discovered Jose James. Honest, never heard of him before. Now it’s been 2 hours non-stop discovering his music. A bit more to the R&B side which I never listen too then the blues, which is where I found him. Got a new favorite tonight.
During this isolation, I would be interested in suggestions of great movies you like. @whatjd Perhaps another thread on movies we like and probably shouldn't? The Core - completely ridiculous and I've watched it a dozen times and will do so again.
During this isolation, I would be interested in suggestions of great movies you like. The King of Hearts 1966.
Lexicon RV-6 I Owned a Lexicon MC-12 which I ran with a mcintosh amp. Great sound for movies, great surround-sound. Very poor for just listening to music in stereo. Ran very hot for a pre-amp. Hope this helps a bit.
unbeatable Class A integrated Oh and Class A is not over rated. Blows away every class D I’ve ever heard. Those Luxman 30 watts sound better then the 200 class D I had or previous ones I owned. Your mileage may vary but I am no push over on SQ.
unbeatable Class A integrated Replaced my mcintosh gear with a Luxman 590AXII and it was an incredible improvement. I could not be happier with the sound and the looks. The phono is both MM/MC, using a Hana MM right now and it’s a lovely combination The headphone amp is stunni... |
