Ideal USB cable length, streamer to DAC?
I've used a 5M Supra USB cable without any issues: Supra USB
Warm and accurate bookshelves that can handle volume
Used (passive): BM15 New (active): BM15a   P.S. They work fine nearfield, midfield, farfield.
Why so few devices with BNC's??
@Russ69: The RCA’s only weakness is long cable runs, the XLR solved that issue and is a standard at this point. The BNC offers nothing in the way of improved sonics. This thread is about digital connections! So XLR is not the standard. BNC all...
Ultimate stereo nightmare
@rvpiano: if her last name is Tookes or Sanders I would recommend you keep an eye on her from the second she starts crawling on the floor!
Occasional Sound Imbalance Issue
Could be changes in ear pressure when you get out of your chair? What happens if you stay sitting down and someone else moves something?
Why is it that every time, lately, that I'm interested in a thread...
Country of origin and support should come into almost all audio equipment discussions unless every buyer doesn’t mind waiting months to send/receive back replacement units/parts/tech support in their native language if something goes wrong. Not ju...

Don’t buy used McCormack DNA 1990s amps

I have NOVA V's and I am not happy

Klipsch La Scala replacement?
Auditioning a speaker based on a YT video created under less than optimal conditions and played back on a different system with an altogether different set of strengths and weaknesses means absolutely nothing.
Room size definition
In my opinion, ALL decent speakers should have their -3dB point at 40Hz or less. Then use subs below that if you wish. That was common advice even in the early 1980s when subs were still uncommon. Pretty little speakers don’t qualify, as much as o...
LS50 + Sub Or Floorstander?
Subs will make a big improvement but the LS50 is still a small speaker in the range the subs don’t cover. Plus a couple subs that match the quality of the LS50 are expensive and require a crossover frequency that is higher than optimal. Personally...
