Universal Players: Video Quality? Ken, I too was disappointed, but like I said, it might have just been some sort of "capatability" issue. I still ended up with the DV-50 though.Henryhk, I think you might be confusing de-interlacing with scaling. De-interlacing take an interlaced ...
Universal Players: Video Quality? The DV-50 is made by Esoteric. Does the Arcam play both DVD-A and SACD? I thought it only did one one these formats.
Looking for killer DVD/CD player for 2 channel I agree with Jfrech, the DV-50 is sort of the Porsche of Universal Players. It may not be the best, but it is a solid and reliable benchmark of all around high performance. I have gone through a lot of players and ended up back with the DV-50. It ...
Universal Players: Video Quality? FWIW I own a DV-50 now, and have tried the "S" version, the Denon 3910, the Integra DPS 10.5, the Simaudio Orbiter, the Lexicon RT-10, the Krell Showcase, and the Meridian G98 (it think it was the 98). The Krell I never tried the video on, but the...
Rowland --- older amps vs the newer models? I should qualify my question: Looking at the used market, I have found myself drawn towards larger amps in the 4-5K price range. I want a high current delivery stereo amp, and the only other requirement for me is the ability to turn it on and off ...
Rowland --- older amps vs the newer models? Have any of you guys ever compared something like the 8T or 9T to a current Krell cx amp?

Best Digital Amp for Legacy Focus 20/20? Ar t, Sorry if I am being stupid here, but what amps do you make/sell?
Best Digital Amp for Legacy Focus 20/20? OK, getting back to Huck's question...can a digital amp do a good job of driving the very current hungry Focus 20/20?I have the Focus too (and I love them) and have found that changing amps has a dramatic effect on the speaker's performance. Since...
McIntosh MX119/134/135 pre/pro or Krell HTS 7.1 2-channel is what I am most critical of, but I do listen the some multi-channel, and my whole set-up began life as a HT. That is why I want to stick with a pre/pro.Thanks though.
McIntosh MX119/134/135 pre/pro or Krell HTS 7.1 An old update - I ended up trying a MX119 as a demo. It is really a nice piece physically. And the controls have a very nice feel to them. When I first set it on my shelf, it was as good as sold in my mind, I was very excited. I was even drafting ...
Which Krell to hunt down on the used market? Slightly off topic here but I am guessing you all might know the answer:Do the older Krells, like the KSA series or the early FPB series, have a remote trigger for turning it on and off?I have searched for user manuals on-line, but have not found ...
Legacy Whisper owners - Steridian problem Harve, so your problem was because of your ICs?I am still curious as to why there is an issue with running balanced into the Steridian and passing it out via balanced to your amp. Where does the problem (veiling and/or hum) originate, and is there...
Legacy Whisper owners - Steridian problem I have a Legacy LF Extreme subwoofer, and it has an adjustment called "blend." This controls the gain/level (+/-) on the frequency region centered around 60Hz.Is this what the Steradian does...or something similar? |
