Best improvement for the buck
IMO a mediocre horn speaker at $900 new or used would not improve his system, since that is what the OP is after.. A properly set up Magnepan 1.7i rivals box speakers costing ??? you know the rest!
Best improvement for the buck
Consider upgrading your speaker cables. I would advise trying the Alpha Core Goertz MI 3 Divinity Bi-Wire. Goertz has had a known synergy with Magnepan. The Cable Company has a 30 day return policy. A stand alone tube phono preamp like an Allnic H...
Why no Virtual System pics??
Have been an Audiogon member since 2011 but have browsed the site since 2005. In the last few years have sparadically posted due to the (IMO) the watered down content. Hard to believe some of the (claimed) recent posts on Audiogon. I would like to...

Have to give Gerry Rafferty a shoutout. IMO equal to all the obvious great singer/songwriters.

Bryston Amp Experience Needed
It's amplifier current that determines speaker performamce not just w/ch. From what I have read the B135 is very conservatively rated.
Bryston Amp Experience Needed
Since you want to upgrade your preamp you could avoid this with an integrated amp as an option? Bryston B135 has plenty of power to drive the R 11. This way you avoid purchasing another Emotiva component.

I would consider a "warmer" sounding amp to match up with the KEF R11. What preamp are you using?

Wow an old album that rocked your world
Ted Nugent/ST. IMO .this is a top 50 rock/pop album of the 1970's. Yes his political views are questionable but I only care about the music
Yet another Integrated vs Separates advice post
Since your Hegel H200 is a solid performer(in your system) you don't want to make a sideways move. If the Emma speakers are a long term plan, contact Eggleston maybe they can help. As many agree the amp/speaker synergy is of utmost importance.
Yet another Integrated vs Separates advice post
Does your current set up lack warmth or a rich midrange? What cartridge is in use? It appears to me you need tubes somewhere in the audio chain. The Aesthetix Mimas is very well received I have not heard it. Or if you can get by with 30 watts of c...
