What are/were the best sounding cheap components you have ever had? I dislike the word cheap, inexpensive works best for me. Purchased a mint Technics SL-P500 CD player(1986) for the price of a pizza at a thrift store several years ago

Why not? Schitt knows a majority of Schiit owners buy for cost first and many also believe in the "snake oil" mantra.

Suggest your most desired MSRP $1,500-$3,000 Stand Mount for a Shootout. It's possible Focal could have drivers/cabinets/crossovers/binding posts ect. made in China for lower end models then they assembled in France which could make it legal to claim "Made in France"

Suggest your most desired MSRP $1,500-$3,000 Stand Mount for a Shootout. The point I failed to make is with a shootout how many amps/cables/sources are on hand to get the full potential out of each speaker. Suggest your most desired MSRP $1,500-$3,000 Stand Mount for a Shootout. Shootouts are basically worthless. The synergy of source/cables and amplifiers is different with every speaker. Most budget speakers are made in the same Chinese factory maybe on the same assembly line and slapped with different badges.
Whats on your turntable tonight? @mammothguy54 +1 Congrats on your speaker purchase. I’m in the process of upgrading my current speakers. I hope the manufacturers realize the time/effort and emotional involvement required in purchasing the most difficult(flawed)audio component.
