Why "bookshelf" sspeakers? @grannyring Yes, exceptions always exist. The Seawave Acoustic AM 23($20K) might exceed the Totem Element Metal V2($18.5k) but I have not heard a better allrounder for < $20k regardless of speaker size or type. In general the consumer is get...
Why "bookshelf" sspeakers? FWIW I would never consider even a small HEA speaker a "bookshelf" speaker. A stand mount speaker is often more advantageous to the manufacturer than consumer. Why? Shipping/manufacturing costs/stands and even pushing subwoofer(s) are all addition...

Whats playing on your system today? Maura O'Connell-Just In Time(CD) Another great example of how strong 1989 was for recordings. Virtually unknown with the mainstream, this is easily a Top 100 recording of any genre released in 1989.
Is it important to long demo or own HIGH END gear to have a fair accurate view about it? @mapman My point is room acoustic treatment is a given(must have) regardless of the cost/level of the audio system. One can be a serious Audiophile with Burmester or Parasound gear, the point is getting as close to 100% out of the system. |
