Best Integrated, period. The Rowland S2 is Class D....no thanks!
The best speaker you ever heard? The pair you just purchased
Review: Wegrzyn Loudspeaker &Cable Co. Copper Slam Special Edtion Power cord Audio Alchemy is a funny thing...sometimes a stock cord can do it....other times, not so much! I like Transparent, MIT and Audioquest PC's depending on the application.
Downsizing my system from tubes to an integrated The 400xi is a better integrated all around...the 300 was a bit murky sounding and flabby in the bass.
Best Integrated, period. I got a Teac AI2000 to replace my ARC VSi60...the Teac sounds more like a tube amp then the ARC...WHAT? Full bodied, refined and articulate with tube like dynamics and harmonic completeness...all for the price of an NAD.
Vintage 80s speakers...retro system...your pick? Bozak Symphony Grand loudspeakers with CJ electronics and a Micro Seiki turntable wt Dynavector Ruby MC cartridge! Cables didn't matter much then:)
1st time buyer: Paradigm vs Revel vs B&W vs ? The absolute best bang for the buck is the B&W 683's...for $1500 a pair and spec's reflective of it's more expensive brother, the 804....yeah, give them a listen!
Interconnect with great dynamics and bass slam , Nothing can beat Transparent, especially in the bass department!
Audioquest King Cobra or Wireworld Equinox 6 Clean sounding but no where near the natural tone and foundation possible with transparent, not to mention low level detail retrieval:)

Interconnect with great dynamics and bass slam , The absolute best is Transparent....preferrably Super or higher:) You will be astounded!!
The Audio Research Reference 10 is here $30k "Lean Sound"? What the heck did you hook their linestages up to and with Larryi? They are big, warm side of neutral and dynamic...never lean.
Best Integrated, period. ARC VSi60 wt KT120's!
Ayre vs Conrad Johnson I have heard a ton of equipment over the years, and although I respect Ayre the company, I find there house sound to be a bit dry and lackluster. Tonal color seems monochromatic as well with slightly diffuse imaging. Krell, ARC and even CJ have be... |
