Removing plastic phase plug from tweeters? Thanks, this is the same conclusion I came too... just wanted to hear others opinions. btw Mapleshade is the site where I read about this.
Anti-Cabls Ic's alternatives? Thanks everyone! I decided to try the PNF interconnects and will report my finding when they arrive. I appreciate everyones advice and input.
Anti-Cabls Ic's alternatives? dog- the PNF Icon looks interesting to me. Do you have any personal experiance with this ic? I'd be curious if anyone has directly compared PNF to Anti-Cable hmm btw I listen to a lot of rock/alternative music if this helps in my selection of ic's.
Anti-Cabls Ic's alternatives? Thanks for the responses guys- I do plan on upgrading to the Eichman plugs if I go with the Anti-Cable ic's. btw has anyone heard the silver wire version of this ic? I was thinking of trying it but am afraid it might to bright with my system ( n...
1k used Integrated amp- Plinius? Ferrari, It's funny that you mention the Denon because I was actually considering that awhile back but for some reason lost interest. Maybe because I thought 80 watts wouldnt be enough for my speakers ( everyone recommends at least 150?) but maybe...
1k used Integrated amp- Plinius? It looks like the two top contenders right now are the Plinius 8150 and Classes CAP 150/151 . Has anyone directly compared the two and if so which is better for rock music? Thanks for the help
1k used Integrated amp- Plinius? I forgot to mentioned that my speakers are 86db and 4ohm so I need 150+ watts.
Vandersteen 1 in the nearfield, for rock music? Bond, You mentioned the DCM Timeframe series, are the vandersteens similiar to these speakers? I bought a pair of the Timefrom tf400 from a local swapmeet for 30 bucks and thought they were awesome, especially for rock music.
Vandersteen 1 in the nearfield, for rock music? I'm talking maybe 6-7 feet away. I noticed the PSB's I currently have are good in the nearfield compared to most other speakers iv'e heard. Iv'e also owned Audio Note Ax-Two, Klipsch Heresy and POLK Lsi9's. All of these are good in their own way,...
Paradigm Studio 20 v.s. B&W 685 Did you end up buying the B&W? If not, whats your budget and what type of sound are you looking for?
Paradigm Studio 20 v.s. B&W 685 Iv'e heard both of these speakes side by side with the same equipment and music. Id choose the B&W simply because the Paradigms are horrendously bright. They remind me of my PSB Stratus Minis, except with a lot more treble.
Green Mountain Audio Calypso Their website is far too confusing for me to take them seriously. Correct me if I'm wrong , but don't they make you pay some huge "restocking" fee if you decide to return their speakers?
Paradigm Studio v2 VS. Vandersteen 2Ce Signature ? I'm wondering, for those of you who think the Paradigm Studio series is bright/harsh or whatever, what do you think of PSB's Stratus series? I own PSB Stratus Mini's ( aluminum tweeter just like the paradigms) and to me they sound bright sometime...
Vandersteen's Low Spousal Acceptance Factor Nah, I'm not. I wish I was, though, then I wouldn't be broke!
Vandersteen's Low Spousal Acceptance Factor Poor speakers. How would she like it if you critized the way she looks? Maybe tell her she needs to shed a few pounds, or that her nose is too big. See how she likes it. Seriously, I dont get why women hate speakers so much. I think the Vanderste... |
