Wow!  Let's all listen to the sound quality of YouTube to evaluate our components.  Besides, beryllium can and does work well with electronics that do not need the high end rolled off.  I have some, and they are great at making mediocre amps sound...

Why do most phono preamps lack XLR input even thought cartridges are naturally balanced?
There is little, if any, advantage to XLR on short runs.

Should people who can't solder, build or test their speakers be considered audiophiles?
To turn this argument around, Is a tone deaf repair person a better audiophile than a lifetime enthusiast who plays many musical instruments.  I think not.  Maybe it's fun, but being able to make something sound better is rare, and not necessary, ...

RE: Tidal is lossless.  Well, not really.  Tidal and other streaming services, must compress to fit a lot of channels into a small stream.  Maybe after they compress and otherwise modify the bits and bytes, they don't change the signal, but I have...

70’s rock pressings. Witch equipment deserve?
I have found that a second amp and preamp, of the same model as the main ones,  to drive the subs allows these old records to sound much batter than any device that costs much more than necessary for even a tiny improvement. 
Is it really worth it to get a phono stage over $10k
It depends on how much you value you impart to listening to a diamond scrape on a cheap piece of plastic.

The Transcriptor turntable, as shown in "A Clockwork Orange" has to be the best looking device.

I have two nice TT's so that I can listen to my record collection, not because I am a fanatic who gives a hoot about whether you bought a more expensive source of one type to tout its superiority over your cheaper device.
