How do you adjust the azimuth on a Musichall mmf 5 I believe that you have to remove the little peg that the anti-skate weight string hooks onto. Under the peg is a set screw that holds the top of the bearing and allows you to rotate the arm.
Say it aint so--- Teres quality question Sayas,Me thinks thou doest protest too much.Consider yourself flammed as that seems to be all you are looking for.
Compare: Basis Debut, VPI TNT, top Teres tables I re-read the post that Thomas refers to. I think perhaps there is a misunderstanding about what the poster meant when he said that "Thomas is a bad guy". IMHO, that remark was meant to be a sarcastic response because the poster felt that Thomas w...
What's in your record cleaning machine???? Record Research Super Deep Cleaner and Super Record Wash.I have become a true believer!
Long wall or short wall I agree with Sean's comments on Cara. For the price I have found it to be a very useful tool. I do have limitations with placement of speakers in my listening room due to a pool table at one end of the room. There are still many choices left for m...
Long wall or short wall I can't add much more to what Stehno has posted except to say that if you don't have decor restraints try them on the long wall. I have moved mine around several times and I do find that I like the sound better on what would be the short wall. My ...
What tubes for a EAR p834 NOS teslas (12ax7) are currently in mine. I have used Electro-Harmonix and the Sovtek LPS as well as the stock tubes. The LPS may be one for you to try. They're only about $12 each. Though not as quiet as a NOS they do sound pretty good.
Rega P25 vs, Music Hall MMF-7 or 9 First I will say that I own a MMF 7 and I am pleased with its performance. I bought mine used through Agon. I have re-wired it with Cardas wire and upgraded the RCA jacks. Other than changing cartridges, that is the extent of the up-grades that I ...
Do I need a machine to clean ? If you don't mind the extra elbow grease and a bit more noise and you're handy, definitely build your own vaccum cleaner. Now that we have central vaccum I cannibalized my wife's old Hoover upright. Then I used some scrap cabinet plywood and mount...
I am on the Jazz wagon for awhile,,,or until broke I have started to collect Jazz as well. Fortunately I have a buddy who is a highly trained musician and one hell of trombone player. He has helped me compile a list of "must have" jazz records so for now I only buy what is on that list. He has als...
A personal challenge Good for you, Jeff! I've been smoke free for about 10 yrs. I believe that you will feel much better after about another 10 days and you will soon re-discover what food really tastes like.Best of luck,Dan
More finds out of town Yep, that's the place! I don't mean to put them down with my comments. I found that the vinyl selection there was limited when compared to Izzy's and the Princeton store, but I'm probably looking for different music than what they stock in vinyl.
Teres update Jphii,I am extremely envious of your current position, but my turn will come. :)
More finds out of town Not to worry, Imin2U. I live in New Hampshire so I won't be beating you to those special finds too often. :) Next time I'm down that way I'm going with a list so I won't be so overwhelmed by the selection.Jsujo, I was at a store called Vintage Vin...
More finds out of town Jsujo,Nice haul! Care to give up your source?I recently discovered the Princeton Record Exchange on a trip to visit my son and his significant other down in New Jersey. I was quite impressed with the huge jazz and classical section of this place. ... |
