Speaker recommendations wanted for Quicksilver M135 amplifiers
I heard Sonus Fabers yesterday, several models in different lines. They were all paired with McIntosh and from what I understand McIntosh is now parent company. They all sounded very good and there are models in your price range.
What about the Belles SA-100?
Due to the reviews of this thread, I bought an SA-100 about six months ago.I paired it with the Belles 28A Reference Series Preamp driving Dali Opticon 8's I don't have a lot of experience with a lot of amps so it is very hard to give an appraisal...
Finally...Pictures!
Okay! Nice gear but in regard to the SQ- for you to realize the full potential of what you have you need to look into getting rid of that big overstuffed furniture so you can pull those speakers out away from the front wall. No piece of gear is ev...
More Bass
That's always an option but you can make it work and it does take work. Is the view interruption too much? Is the wife unwilling to budge or are you unwilling to push? You've put money into it so you have to decide how "right" you want it. Some go...

@navyachts I'd spend a lot more time setting those speakers up. With a room that wide you should be able to get them at least eight feet apart and one foot away from the wall is another speaker killer unless you have a brand designed to be against...

@clearthinker The Octobass goes down to 16hz.
Low level listening
@stereo5 What is the correct answer on this? If you have good watts and enough of them, I think enough watts to drive lower efficiency speakers would sound better at lower volume or at least possible tie with low watts - high efficiency, right? I ...

The Dali's are good. Currently my Labrador is looking to see where the hound in Pink Floyd's Seamus is at. I have the Opticon 8's.  A couple of strikes; They are not high efficiency so you have to have good watts. Strike two is there is not a lot ...
Better story teller than Edmund Fitzgerald?
Red Barchetta by RUSH  who prevision what is in our near future. This song was written by Neil Peart based off a short story in Popular Mechanics. FYI, all the dystopian novels of the future are coming true!
Can I add an outboard Equalizer to my music streamer ?
+ 1 on Qobuz. Pay for a whole year and it's even cheaper.
Bluesound Node 2I Power Supply Update
@hilde45 Can you elaborate? Is this only a thing if you've got the PD Creative?
Psychologist dissects Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon'
He's a bitter man. He could never reconcile his father's sacrifice to his country with his own need to know him. That's understandable but his adoption of the ideology that killed his father is baffling.
Psychologist dissects Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon'
This group has been musically instrumental, no pun intended, in my life and even more so with Rush. I find my attention is held better with great lyrics and these bands represent that talent very well. It's always been a mystery to me how to trans...
Upgrade Cables or Just Upgrade Equipment & Live in Shame?
As others have said avoid spending money needlessly. You say you are happy with the way it sounds. If you think it could be better start with speaker positioning experiments. Each room is different and If you get that right it will save you lots o...
OMG - Room Acoustics are Critical - WAF be dam-ed!.
Who are all of these men that are so afraid of their women? Afraid to move a lamp or throw pillow? It is our house too.
