Amp Search and Upgrade
@tk21 I haven't really ever had a chance to listen to a Class D amp and from what I read I don't know if it's the route for me. It is probably more fantastic than I would imagine. It seems like an awful lot to cram into one unit and I would have c...

What do you think of doing something like buying a good pair of monoblocks and using the Hint 6 as pre for the time being? There's a pair of Bryston 7B ST's used on audiomart for 2900. This would leave some $$ on the table so that when I sell the ...
Is there a facility that test cables?
That's a fact @facten !
Amp Search and Upgrade
Currently I am happy with the Node 2i and feeding what I think is a very nice DAC that is well regarded. If anything, I'd do an upgrade to its power supply with Teddy Pardo. If I tackle the pre/ amp this year then next year I might upgrade source.

@carlsbad I don't know that I could get over the looks on the Kinki tbh. But you're saying either stick with a better integrated or get a pre and and amp I believe.

There is a nice JC5 from Parasound right now used on Audiomart, I suppose that would be the best match if I am using the HJint as pre?

Thanks for the responses everyone! @chayro I might do that, t@tablejockey you are probably right; maybe I don't want to know!

Maybe they got sick of short tempers, misunderstandings, and name calling (e.g. the word "feelsies."). Maybe smart people are above that kind of crap. Maybe smart people can filter out the chaff without resorting to banishing people?
Missing Members
Maybe they got tired of people being banished from this site because they said something and hurt someone's feelsies.
The mystery of good acoustics
Thanks for hijacking an interesting post @thyname . People might have actually learned something on this thread but you have let your obsession over this person, whoever they might be, ruin it for most readers. Quit being a Karen.

Yes, they sound better than the stock cords. I want to get them tested to see that they do in fact shield EMI/RFI and whether they were worth the couple of thousand dollars I paid for them. I also don't know what the difference is between a high c...
OCD audio guy naming shady Audiogon dealers by name
What gets me is he goes into 'his friend's' showroom and disses all of his lines, Focal and McIntosh, but calls him a "real" dealer because of the fanciness of the showroom. Isn't fanciness without substance what he rails against? I agree with the...
When You Buy The Whole Album And Only Like One Song.
I will usually listen to a full offering by an artist(s) at least four times before I decide if I like it or not; at least by artist in genres I like. Even on artist I like I find I might not immediately like a new release upon first listen. I've ...
Floorstanders vs Bookshelf
Big space- Big speaker. Bookshelves cannot possibly move enough air for the volume of the room.
No love for Legacy Audio
I had the opportunity to hear the Focus SE a couple of weeks ago and I really liked them. These were heard with no subs and they still grabbed you by the cajones and didn't let go. Clear, articulate and powerful.
