which turntable for the future?
I don't think VPI is big upgrade in terms of performance. Michell Gyrodek with SME V is hard to beat. I'd choose Kuzma Stabi instead.

I use needle-nose pliers. They work good when removing cartridge leads and I'm speaking from experience.
