Is Recording quality the real culprit?
@searchingforthesound  I don’t want to wonder into a fight, but an equalizer will do nothing for an over driven microphone, to much compression, or tape hiss. If someone wants to put EQ into their system, more power to them.

Is Recording quality the real culprit?
I have some recordings that were made using just one, stereo microphone that sound fantastic.  I also have some albums that were recorded with just a few microphones that everything is just plain off and I can’t get a listenable image of a singer ...
