Dickie Betts died earlier today at 80 years of age
Always liked Dickey Betts. His guitar and voice talent made him a driving force in the music industry. He will be remembered and missed.

FedEx - strange shipping progress (to UK)
The best for international delivery is DHL. I ordered a streamer from South Korea. From the time it was picked up in SK, to the time it was on my doorstep in the middle of the states was 37 hours! I was blown away!
Re: streaming recommendations for newbie
@tlh28  I have a Bluesound Node N130 and for around $500 you can get a darn good streamer an okay DAC. As time and money permitted, I bought a better power supply and it made a big difference in the sound. As time and money permit, you might want...
dedicated power receptacles for mono blocks?

Whats playing on your system today?

@snilf  Being on Agon is more than talking about equipment. I generally spend more time on the music threads than the equipment threads. Jazz, classic rock and classical music are 99% of what I listen to.  Poke around, there’s a lot of diversity....
Is positive reinforcement why things are sounding better?
When I bought my first tube preamp, a ARC SP-3a in 79(?) I bought maybe six different sets of tubes for it.  Each had its own sound and I settled on the a Amperex 12ax7. Now I have an SP 9-MK ll that uses 6dj8’s and I basically did the same thing ...
The Absolute Sound posts a video about a new product development from Magnepan, but...
@yyzsantabarbara  Good luck with the upgrade and please let me know your thoughts afterwards. BTW, would you also tell me your thoughts on the KEF KC62?  I’ve read/heard a bunch of reviews from “Professional” reviewers, but never from someone wh...
