Solid state to tube
@ecpninja  What kind of budget are you thinking about? A hybrid integrated with a tube in the front end or a tube preamp and a solid state amp is a good place to start.

Why do so many sellers take offense to offers on their listings?
There are some sellers who think they deserve top prices on what ever they sell and are complete jerks if you ask for even a penny off. I understand they have bills to pay, but they really should try to let people down a bit more Graciously.  
Do I need a streamer?
Like others have said, get the computer out of the equation and get an inexpensive streamer to start with. If it doesn’t sound better, you can always resell it. All the best.  
Snake oil of the year?
I’m using a power line adapter so I doubt it will help me much. To bad my internet comes into a bedroom and not my family room.
