Why does most new music suck?
The development of technology is not dependent on the evolution of music(or is it?). What are you worried about?
"Best" 80's HiFi System
Lots of good choices. Mine was a pair of Kef105.2, Oracle Alexandria with FR arm and Dynavector Ruby cart/Denon head amp. Amps were Meridian 105 monos with matching pre. Still killer but I would go with Acoustat TNT200 amp. Contrary to popular bel...
Why does most new music suck?
There is no good new music. Go ahead, take a deep breath and begin with the word 'there'. Just do it. Now that wasn't so hard was it? Because if it is good, it's a remake. Why is it so hard to face the fact that music can be reduced to a mathemati...
Lots of detail, great imaging, not much bass?
My goodness, B. If you want those really low bass notes, you have to have the right set up! My 800wpch. monos hit the spot. I have a neighbor who's a real a-hole too:)

It was a general statement. You haven't responded to my quandary.
Bass leaves after amp warms up?
What? Are you on the right thread?

Plenty of patents out there for meaningless products. I'll give him one for the spring loaded rca pin. I wonder how a pair of WBT's would compare, though. And also how his 'invention' would fare without the the spring loaded rca pin.

When Mr. Shultz divulges exactly and specifically how his product works to improve the gear, he still won't have a leg to stand on against someone who has nothing but questions regarding his product. Looks like he doesn't want to be found out. Jus...
O.C.D. Speaker placement
But that's just my point. A stark contrast is the best comparison so it's best to get used to an adjustment before changing it. It's interesting you have pinpoint imaging with speakers crossed in front of you. My experience with that set up is a r...
Neutral or warm? Which do you prefer?
I don't know what reality brings. I'll know it when I hear it.
high power tube amps vs ss
Very good point. Is it odd ordered harmonic distortion that causes damage within the average spl range we listen at? Will I preserve my hearing ability switching to tubes?
Sub best at high crossover?
I never did trust speaker manufacturers' frequency response specs. They always embellish real world bottom end performance. Nothin like throwin a hammer in the mix to get some attention.
high power tube amps vs ss
Now there's an impressive response. Thank you Ralph for catering to my very limited knowledge and set of sensibilities. Regardless, I do like my sugar sweet. Problem is I can't put my finger on it. I'm only able to get a glimpse. Your prior post h...
high power tube amps vs ss
Thank you Tubegroover and Al. I didn't mean to challenge you as I expected a relatively immediate response. But I do think you two are most precise in defining speed as I put it. Judging from your responses it's fairly clear that it is in fact a t...
high power tube amps vs ss
I would venture to guess that Al, but especially Ralph believe it's not possible to arrive at life-like sound without tubes given some of their prior posts. To that end I would like very much for either/both to cite some tube amps that are as fast...
