Bands where U say
It seems to happen when they reach a plateau of excellence. It's then they feel they're done with each other and need to move on. Very sad and disappointing. I've always felt betrayed by this. Unless of course it's a matter of their demise.
Why does most new music suck?
I find it laughable that sound quality is a mitigating factor in a decision to listen to otherwise substandard compositions of what music should actually be defined by. This is clearly not about the music but all about the expenditure. The joke's ...
Anybody have an actively multi-amplified system?
Why would you encourage me to go with something flat, boring, and somewhat trebly? I'm somewhat baffled. The Marchand has a good reputation and following. In any case, I'm interested in top notch components.
Good Listening Lately
Marakenetz, worst case scenario is if the rest are playable:)
Anybody have an actively multi-amplified system?
I think Mr. Strickland was the main player. I had these amps shipped to Roy sight unseen so I can't speak to that question. I have a similar impression about the Behringers so I guess that's a given.
Anybody have an actively multi-amplified system?
My TNTs were just rebuilt/modified by Roy Esposito in Florida. He added fully balanced mode and mono capability. I've not had any prior experience with these amps. He was instrumental in developing the circuit being an engineer at Acoustat back th...
Anybody have an actively multi-amplified system?
I'm currently working on a JBL fully active system. I'm building a pair of 4345 but with 2206 mid-bass, and 2441/2309/2310 mid-range. I have 3 Acoustat TNT200 amps and one TNT120. I will use 2 of them in mono for bass, 1 for mid-bass and the 120 f...
B&W matrix 801 s2 still a relavant speaker.
Don't confuse marketing with design competence. If it's good, it's always going to be just that no matter what it is.

Actusreus' response is the most intelligent one so far.
How Many Turntables Have You Owned
Hey, it was way back when. That first Oracle cost me $1800.00! in 1979! Don't remember what a Linn was worth.
Guitar's...what do the audionuts play?
One lowly Martin D28
How Many Turntables Have You Owned
Can't remember the name but it was an Ariston table with a uni-pivot arm. No retainers of any kind. The arm just sat on a spike. Next was a Technics direct drive. Then an Oracle Alexandria with an FR-12 and Dynavector Ruby, and finally an Oracle P...
Anthonyn Cordesman on Edward Snowden
Zen,okay, but in the meantime, how long are you willing to wait for the facts? History waits for someone to write it but it doesn't know who it is until it happens.
When is it to hot to cut the grass?
Exactly! Right now.
Anthonyn Cordesman on Edward Snowden
Are you kidding? What if there were more players and bombs?
