Paradigm studio 20 vs 60? Help please I think you have take a lot of the advise you've been given with a grain of salt, since we don't know the size of your room, the amp you're using, or the type of music you like. Will the speakers be used for home theater as well?I have older (v.2)...
New Logitech Squeezebox Touch Mapman, I have my music library stored in FLAC on a Vortexbox Appliance, which comes pre-configured to work with Sonos or Logitech Media server. I presume the SBT and Sonos devices could work side by side, although I have not tried them together. ...
New Logitech Squeezebox Touch I don't understand killing the whole format. There's not really anything else quite like it. My kids love having every song, artist, playlist, that's on our computer, available to them in their rooms and remote controllable from their iPod touchs....
New Logitech Squeezebox Touch Logitech has discontinued the Squeezebox format. They have suggested they will continue to support it for the foreseeable future, but who knows. The Sonos Connect is one option for an equivalent device. It is limited to 16/44, but interface is much...
How to setup a simple wireless audio system? Look at Sonos. Much easier to use and far more reliable than the SBT. Any android or apple phone or tablet can be use as a controller with the free Sonos controller app.
Are you still playing CDs after, comp based syst? After spending close to three months ripping my collection to a hard drive - no, I have no desire to spin a CD. Buying a CD player now almost seems akin to buying a typewriter.
music drop out--new router If you were not having trouble before you replaced the router, you probably have another device competing with the signal - so try changing the channel as recommended. You can go into the "settings" menu of the squeezebox and see what your wireles...
The high range on my speakers are harsh... Brightness/harshness is often caused by poor speaker positioning in relation to the listener. The distance from the walls, the distance between the speakers, the distance from the speakers to the listener, speaker height, toe-in and tilt can all c...
Speaker cable frustration for Merlin vsm mme I'm using Acoustic Zen Satori with my Merlin TSM-MMe's. I've been using them for years now and have never had a need to look elsewhere.
Highest rez audio service MOG streams at 320k, which is the highest rez service I know of at this point. Rhapsody is 192k. Both sound very good through a good system.
Opting for no CDP -- only to regret it? Except when I get a new CD and just want to listen to it. Having to rip it first sometimes feels like so much damn fuss. My CD player's transport has been malfunctioning for about a year and I haven't missed it. I still play music via the players ...
FM Radio is dead ....R.I.P In Pandora, I have several "radios" such as Coleman Hawkins Radio, Gene Harris Radio, Count Basie Radio, etc, etc. Each time I play any of these "radios" it starts off with the artist I like such as those named above but after 2-3 tracks Pandora i...
Can pandora be improved? I subscribe to MOG, which streams at 320k, Rhapsody (192k) and Pandora (128k via Squeezebox). They all sound great to me and the difference between 128k and 320k is not as significant as most would like to believe.
How selective are you? I subscribe to MOG, Rhapsody and Pandora. For a monthly fee of less than 3 CD's, I have access to an endless supply of new music and access to practically any album I want to hear at any time. I may never buy another CD or album again.
GNSC has closed . . . Too bad. I have a modded Opus 21 from GNSC and its one of my all-time favorite pieces of gear. Plus they were always top-shelf to deal with. Hopefully, those guys will land on their feet. |
