flescher:Meant to add that you can add your own categories in JRiver in order to organize your collection (called a Library here). So, I define each rip with the qualifiers "genre" and "period" and can then use the advanced menu creation ability t...
High End is Dead?
Fascinating. Great to hear a behind-the-scenes inventory. Myself, enjoy the capability of taking my entire collection from summer to winter places on a Crucial 2tb drive. But we all must be a little envious of your hoard.
High End is Dead?
flescher42,000 records and CDs! How do you store and access them? Only have about 2500 CDs and find it is necessary to spend some time with organization -- even though they are all ripped in JRiver. Hardly ever need to access the original source.Y...

folkfreak:Impressive; the boxes build up after a while, don’t they? Assume you keep it in standby as much as possible. I use a Furman LPC Elite to keep all box power either switched or unswitched in order to help startup.
DAC around 1.000 Euro for streaming environment
Yes it will but you will have to decide how much of the Integrated amp you wish to use; the best audio might result from just using the amplifier portion.BTW, is the DAC now available in Europe or is it still backordered?
Screaming bargains in DSD-capable DACs?
RME ADI-2 DAC; very hard to find because it is so good at its price point of $999. A DAC/Pre worth investigating.
DAC around 1.000 Euro for streaming environment
RME ADI-2 DAC. This new product from the studio leader RME is so popular it has outsold all of its first 3 runs; RME can't produce enough. Functions as an ideal DAC/Pre with five options for refining the filters from Sharp to NOS.Give this box a l...
