Question About Low Frequency Sounds
If you look here at the table of contents (left column under No 2) you can review the course I've been taking on brain frequency training. But after two years at I still can't get off 1hz. The doc says I'm the first person he's seen with a resona...
100w class A or 200 w class AB ????
In the same line of amps I think it's pretty safe to say that the 200W is "more powerful." Sometimes the watt rating is so misleading as to not mean much. The class just tells you how they are biased. Some folks think class A sounds better. Class ...
Impedance Readings
Hi MattyI suggest you look at the sites below. They are the best and shortest I have found online for explaining basic dc and ac electric theory. Your question shows a little confusion. I really doubt if you understand impedance matching if you do...
Best Tube for Classical,,,300b or 45's ??
I basically agree with Tom above. Both are very nice tubes. Some folks prefer one - some the other. More important are the amps' design and the match with the speakers. Classical orchestral music can be challenging (dynamics) and you want a lot of ...

Jazz recommendations for a beginner?
If you don't like "Kind of Blue" it doesn't mean much IMHO (although I love it). I agree with Newbee. There are lots of things that are kind of acquired tastes and good music is often one. Keep it and listen to it a year from now. There is a lot g...
best integrated tube amp for under 1000 new /used
There is no "best."Sometime you can find a used Audiomat Arpege in that price range. It would be near to lower side of the power I would want. Very musical amp though. Also look at the Ella from Diyhifi as a kit.http://www.diyhifisupply.com/diy_kit...
I would like advice for a beginner.
Spendors and PSBs are nice in your price range. Get some very low prices on used PSB stuff at Agon. Used NAD and Rotel hard to beat too. I've never heard the Castle but Sean has burned through a lot of speakers so he should know.I agree with above...
What does your common sense tell you?
The idea of feedback is so you can make an informed deal. If you had to deal with the first person all the time feedback wouldn't make sense as you would be obligated to deal with the first contact all of the time irrespective of feedback. No one ...
What does your common sense tell you?
Hi Ken:Sell it to whoever wants to BUY it. You are not obliged to hold it for someone who is "interested." What does that mean? I'm interested in the Taj Mahal. You have done all you can and have been fair in my book.CheersI remain,
DYI system that simply was never heard off
Kojak gives a nice list of some diy projects. There is a lot of support for each one online and that means they can be made by almost anyone. I've done the Billie and the Ella(anther made by the same folks)and, while they may not be the best they ...

The Truth About Preamps
>>I would echo the above and say that in your price range, you are probably better off spending money on the amp and cdplayer and going direct.I agree if you are not doing Lps. You have to give it a little thought so you don't have an impeda...
Looking for a Speaker in the $15,000 Range
Hi:You make a nice list of speakers. You are looking for the illusion of 80-100 people on the stage at once and wonder if "another speaker would help."I think you have very high standards. I have never heard any speaker at any price meet that expec...
