Sealed vs. Ported Speakers
...and then there are speakers that can work both ways. Example, Audiokinesis. Mine have port adjustable tuning (you can tilt or shelf the top end as well) and the ability to seal the port if desired.
Preamp with quality MC phono section
Just a thought because I am going down a similar road, but for $10k (used) you could possibly get a Shindo or VAC amp/preamp set up that will sound wonderful and still keep the existing amp/preamp.
Preamp with quality MC phono section
The Manley Steelhead is worth looking into. In addition to being a phono preamp it has a volume control and an input that will allow you to use an additional source (for example, if you also listen to digital). Me personally, I own an Atma-Sphere ...
Fuse for Concert Fidelity Dac 040?
Is it possible for you to email Hajime Sato at Eastwind Imports? He is the US representative for CF. I am pretty sure he can provide the answer.
Passive Pre-amp: Improves overall sound quality??
When it comes to active preamps Ralph is the only designer I know that adds one more item to the list of what an active preamp should do and that is control the interconnect. As someone who is very passive friendly I can respect this point of view...
Passive Pre-amp: Improves overall sound quality??
I will answer part of your question. The main circuit of a passive preamp typically does not require a power supply. So no AC power required. In some cases, such as those using Light Dependent Resistors a power supply and AC power is required. You...

Best tube integrated? anyone know?
If you can stretch it a bit the VAC Avatar SE is worth pursuing. I saw a listing for one on here recently for $2500. Not sure it is still available but having owned one I can say it is a fine sounding integrated amp.beven tempted me for a bit.

Speakers for low power tube amplifier
You should consider Audiokinesis speakers. They are easy speakers to drive and offer great value for the money. I have used 12watt SET amps, 30 watt OTL amps, 35 watt push pull amps, and 225 watt solid state amps with my Jazz Modules and all sound...
Beveridge speaker repair
I am curious. Were those Counterpoint amplifiers the same ones that used the circuit that Roger sold to Counterpoint? I think they were marketed by Counterpoint as the SA-4.
bass traps
I have used Acoustimac as well and have experience with GIK. I use and prefer RealTraps. Cost you a bit more but more effective in my experience.
Congestion, clarity problems gone: M.R. RM-9
This should explain the differences in the various versions of the RM-9. Second post is from Roger:http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=43386.0Coupling capacitors were not replaced, nor do I feel these would make a difference in Roger's circ...
