Any affordable intergrateds known for huge sound?
Try Redgum, I also second the Plinius 8200mkII.
Redum Integrated Amplifiers
I have a Redgum RGi120s integrated and am extremely happy with it. What would you like to know?

What system components would you buy if...........
Here is my list using the same approach that I did when putting my current system together, simple, musical, and non-fatiguing(current equipment).Plinius 8200 mkII integrated (Redgum RGi120s)Rega Jupiter 2000(Arcam cd92)Soliloquy 6.5 ***I cheated ...
To biwire or not to biwire...?
Sherod, what do you think of your AZ Satoris? I am currently using biwire Kimber 4TC speaker cables. I am looking to upgrade and the Acoustic Zens are specifically what I've been considering. I am looking at a single run however due to the cost of...
B&W Matrix 802 series III or Soliloquy 6.3?
I have never heard the B&W, but own the Soliloquy. I am extremely happy with these. First, they are beautiful speakers which helps with spousal approval. They are the smoothest speakers that I have ever listened to, although I have not auditio...
Starting Over
Soliloquy 5.0 monitors and Electrocompaniet ECI-3 integrated is a very nice combo that works well together.
Looking for the right interconnect
I third the idea of Acoustic Zen. I changed from Kimber Hero ics to AZ matrix ref ics and gained a great deal of detail and musicality. You do have to watch them with overly warm systems however.
Non fatigueing speaker under 1500
Soliloquy 5.3 would be an ideal choice with "non-fatiguing" sound. I have the 6.3 and can listen to them for very extended periods of time. The 5.3 are slightly smaller, but very musical also. They can be found used or b-stck at or below $1500.
What is your most beautiful component?
RGi120s. The pictures found on the web don't come close to doing this piece justice. The "Redgum wood" face plate is highly polished and exquisite, stunning looks! This is just the icing on the cake compared to the sound however.
Has your system changed the music you listen to?
I have had the same experience. I have always been a blues fan, but not until I got the audio bug did I really start listening to jazz. I believe, for me at least, that a lot of it has to do with the simplicity of the recordingss. My taste in jazz...
20th Century Composers
Listen to Live at Fillmore by the Allman Brothers Band - Dickey Betts - "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed"
What are the 5 most overrated rock albums?
Joshua Tree is an excellent album. But I have to agree with the Wall.
Best band never to release a truly great album?
Curbach , this is a great thread, but I have to disagree with the Tull comment. Songs from the wood is a very good record and Crest of a Knave is great. Trey, I have to agree with Zman, the stones have several great albums, Beggar's Banquet is an ...
Your favorite three Rolling Stones songs?
1. Fancy man blues - Curbach, this was recorded in 1989 and as far as I know only available on "Rolling Stones Collectibles", the 2nd cd in a two disc "Flashpoint" box set. 2. Gimme shelter , makes me wish that I knew how to play the drums! 3. I p...
