Warranty repair wait times - serious industry problem??
emergingsoul ... mcintosh says best to go to a service center ...They don’t like to be in the servicing business that’s why they have a net work. Nonsense. I’ve done business with McIntosh and the company delivers excellent service. Mac’s serv...
Warranty repair wait times - serious industry problem??
jimmy2615 I just sent a preamp and amp to Bryston - in warranty - and it took over 3 months. That is very odd. Bryston serviced my 4B out-of-warranty amplifier and turned in around in about two weeks. What model preamp and amplifier requi...
Warranty repair wait times - serious industry problem??
dinov Just had a C28 and a MC30 repaired by Audio Classics and in both cases it took 4 months. I know that’s vintage gear ... Correct. McIntosh, as with most audio manufacturers, gives priority to warranty repairs. So far, no one in this t...
Warranty repair wait times - serious industry problem??
The OP has still not identified a single audio component manufacturer with a two-month warranty repair time. So it looks like his claim is just BS.
I have perfected my network for the nth time
fredrik222 ... if 0% of people who know how the technology works say they can’t hear a difference, and about 50% of people who don’t know anything about the technology hear a difference, there is only one conclusion that can be drawn, there is n...

Three months for warranty work is very slow. Who's offering that?
What is the science behind audiophile fuses?
1extreme I have some friends who are fundamentalist Christians ... don’t try to convince them otherwise with science because I know they are happier with their beliefs even though I know it is complete nonsense. It looks like some of the m...
I have perfected my network for the nth time
tonywinga It's sad really to see this person arguing the same thing relentlessly denying the fact that people can hear differences. His brow beating of users here is just disruptive to conversation. It's time for him to act on his convicti...

fredrik222   I am not an prosecutor, nor do I have a claim of injury ... You are acting as a prosecutor here, making and repeating bold claims such as: there cannot be any reclocking of the signal. That is not how it works, plain and...
I have perfected my network for the nth time
fredrik222 .... there cannot be any reclocking of the signal. That is not how it works, plain and simple. It is impossible, and has been debunked so many times ... we know everything about Ethernet and TCP/IP ... you know nothing about netwo...
Loudspeaker sensitivity and dynamics: are the two inexorably linked?
No, I don't think sensitivity and dynamics are inherently linked at all. There are some very inefficient speaker systems that are capable of remarkable dynamics.
KLaudio or Degritter Mark II
fbgbill Yes the Klaudio is expensive but the convenience of just slipping the album in the machine and it comes out clean is hard to beat.  That is indeed the charm of the Klaudio machine. It's a one-button process for record cleaning and ...
You Can Get Rich From 'Snake Oil'!
Yes, that "misrepresentation" is what's known as "fraud," whether it was deliberate or inadvertent. The same principle would apply to "snake oil" - a product which does not perform as claimed, just as the MoFi LPs were not pure analog as claimed.
Which Fuse
Look at your blown fuse. A fuse’s rating is typically stamped on one of the ends. It should be preceded by a letter, either "T" or "F". "F" is for fast-blo. I’m not sure what "T" is supposed to stand for, but it designates a slo-blo fuse.
