mo' better bass: any substitute for watts? Jaybo, my amp is an old NAD integrated. It has bass and treble controls. The bass doesn't really sound present without turning up the bass knob and / or the volume.
young and new to analog. Chuck, there's a nice SOTA moonbeam listed now that you should consider snapping up...
NAD, and Vandersteen I had a C372 that was a terrific match with some 2ce Sigs. Your 1C's are more sensetive, you could probably do fine with a C320BEE or the new C315BEE.
Looking for a CD player with more life Before you worry or spend too much, I'd recommend listening to an Onix cd-5se from av123. I just got one today that I bought here on the 'gon, and it is lively indeed, with no fatigue factor. 400 bucks and return it if you don't like it, nothing t...
Ultra - smooth bookshelves $500 or under Check out the Silverline Minuets. I've been on a quest for a great pair of bookshelves for about 3 years and am happy at last. Veiled, thick and syrupy, no - but they are smooth to my ears.

Best Speakers for 2channel Music Ascend Acoustics speakers are said to go well with HK electronics, AA used to sell HK on their website, maybe still do. Look into their CBM-170's. Very nice and well below your budget. Good luck.
Very small bookshelf speakers / system Tivoli with matching cdp. Small, cheap, good looking and decent sounding.
Amp/ Pre-amp options for B&W 602 S3s + Bi-wire? I have the 603's which sound very good now with an Arcam A65+ integrated. I've also had excellent synergy with a Cambridge Audio 640 integrated. Either of these may be all you'd need, but I'd give the gear you already have a try! As for wires and ...
looking for a good bookshelf moniter check out a pair of paradigm titans. should be under $200 from a reasonable dealer and very nice balance sound with the attributes you seek - very flat response.
tube amps for B & W 603's ??? I have a new pair of B&W 603s and I tried a PrimaLuna Prologue II and wasn't impressed. Poor synergy, perhaps? Don't laugh but I'm enjoying a NAD 320BEE much more and will soon be testing a Musical Fidelity X-150. Drop me a line if you want to... |
