Hum Isolation Suggestions. Hello,I would try calling Classe and asking them if you could lift the ground on the amp. Seems to me you have a ground loop.hope this helps,Johnny
Top resale value speakers Whoa there fellas,You need to reread the posting. He is referring to new speakers not classics. I know Quad ESL-57's demand a high price. But as mentioned the thread was discussing current production speakers.S7horton,Maggies are great speakers, b...
Kharma Mini or Avalon Eidolon diamond Tuboo,Very interesting. I had a pair of avalon Eidolon's and found the opposite to be true. The speakers presented a near holographic soundstage. Sounds came from beside and almost behind me.
Top resale value speakers AudioRichard,You are correct that some speaker have high resale value. The speakers that do not have high resale value tend to be of the Electrostat or Planar design speakers. They tend to lose their value dramatically. I guess the membranes are m...

Another Dealer sets the Bar LOW Patriot,I agree that a lot of high end dealers have become akin to snake oil salesmen. I understand the need to make money, but the way some dealers conduct business makes me wonder how they stay in business. The only issue i have with your transa...
Kharma Mini or Avalon Eidolon diamond Emigene,You picked two fine speakers and to be honest i feel the most critical factor in determining which one would be right for you would totally be a room issue. If you are considering the Avalon Acousics Eidolon Diamond then the Kharma ceramiq...

Crazy? Lamm ML2/ML2.1 on Avalon Eidolon? Some very nice points in this thread. I have not had the privelege of hearing the Lamm Amps, but I have owned Avalon Eidolon speakers. I was immediately struck by the fact that the Eidolon's character was unchanged at any volume level. This was ra...
B&W 802 S3 losing snare drum snap Wil,I have owned some adcom amps before. You may want to pop the cover and check the fuses on the outputs. There should be some fuses on each of the ouput transistor boards. Use a meter and check for continuity across the fuse. As best as I can re...
B&W 802 S3 losing snare drum snap Without knowing your system this is a near impossible diagnosis. If you have a tube based system, one of the first signs of a retube are a loss of dynamics. So if you have any tubed electronics I would try retubing unit(s). Also, I would check por...
Problems with blown fuses on Conrad CAV 50 ? Marc,Souds like you have a bad tube. Mine usually blew when powering up the amp. Try retubing the unit and see if that solves the problem.Johnny
Atma-Sphere amps with Eggleston Andra II's Bill,I would have to agree with Jtinn on this issue. The AS amps are great, but Dynaudio drivers tend to like Solid State amps that are High Current.
What happened to my Rowland? 1. Check the obvious fixes: Rear rocker switch, loose wires, blown fuses. Tape loops engaged. etc...2. Try hooking up the amp at a friends house or an alternate system.3. Tear down the whole system and rewire the system again.
