Totem Forest or Mani-2 signature?
I don't think the mani's tweeter runs hot, it's just revealing. I would think with the bel canto they would be able to peel paint, just guessing, wouldn't know till actually tried--it all depends on the room and the wall they're on. So Ckung, less...
Totem Forest or Mani-2 signature?
Hi ckung, looking at your room photo, you sit way too near-field for the mani's, imo, unless you play at mid to low volumes. Having said that, it all depends on how they play in your room. Looking at your setup, the hawks are what came to my mind.
Maggie 1.7's?
good to know, magfan. I haven't heard them yet, my ears on the streets all said good speaker, just no bass, no matter what the amp. Hopefully I'll get to hear a pair soon and hear for myself.
Maggie 1.7's?
but where's the bass?
Which one is the best Bedini power amp and preamp?
Hi...some say the best amp is the 25/25, unfortunately will not have enough current for your speakers. Something more like an 803 would be great. Bedini was not known for their preamps. :(
Harbeth Hl-5 or Harbeth-7es
Agreed again, Nolitan, you are going to have to come over for a listen! Funny, all Harbeths sound great in a smaller room, not always in a larger one.
Proac response D2 or Harbeth for a Leben cs-600
Fair enough, we all hear differently...indeed, the 7's/600 is a great combo.and actually, Jeff Day moved on from auditorium and went to Acoustic Revive cables for his 5's.Are you using a Luxman with your Harbeths?take care
semiautomatic or automatic to support a Dynavector
Bygmyers, what table do you have?
Harbeth Hl-5 or Harbeth-7es
The two are both great. The 7's are great for smaller rooms, the 5's for larger(or smaller as well). The big difference is the physical size. The 5's are a big box speaker, and if used in a smaller room may seem too large for some people visually....
Proac response D2 or Harbeth for a Leben cs-600
Now Nolitan, what are you saying? I've heard all the Harbeths with the Leben 600, and they were all fabulous! what was your beef? The Leben 600 also sounds wonderful with all the Devores. Haven't heard a Proac in years....sigh..
Totem-The One/ Harbeth 7es-3
Hi Valinaryes, 24" would be correct.have fun!
Totem-The One/ Harbeth 7es-3
Nolitan, since we're thread robbers all the time, what stands are you using? Well, come to think of it, the thread starter does need to think of stands whether they get Harbeth or Totem.
Totem-The One/ Harbeth 7es-3
Now Nolitan, don't oversell, okay? lol....we all know they're good. It's just they may not be for everyone. And the Ones are a very good alternative, and head in a different direction. I agree with Ryder, the Harbeths can play in a larger or small...
Totem-The One/ Harbeth 7es-3
Hi, I've heard both, love both, for different reasons. In the right setup, the Ones will give you the recording studio, and feel more 'live'. and agreed with Nolitan, the bass is tighter. The Harbeth is more forgiving, less tight, beautiful mids, ...
Dynavector XV-1s loading question.
