Supratek Owners Thread
Marcus, sorry I did not see your question until just now. I haven't received the Pinot yet, Mick is still tinkering on it. But, with the Syrah pre amp I did quite a bit of tube rolling. As far as the rectifier goes I tried the Mullard GZ34 and GZ3...
Supratek Owners Thread
Received an email today From Mick saying that my Pinot Phono Stage is done and is being play tested. It will be shipping next week! In the meantime I have been re stocking my Supratek tube rolling stash. Another long week of waiting though for the...
Supratek Owners Thread
I ordered the new Supratek Pinot Phono Stage in black on black. I sold my Sutherland 20/20 to make room for it. This will be my second Supratek, the first was the Syrah pre amp. I loved the Syrah but had to sell my gear and downsize around ten yea...
Bendix 6106 burn-in behavior
So Mick did not give you a straight answer on whether or not 6106 is a go, that doesn't help. So all you know is that you had a problem because the tube you tried was bad. Mick is on vacation right now, don't know if he is answering emails or not ...

Supratek Tubes and Tube Swappin' for Everybody
It would seem that the Supratek owners have gone into hibernation. I previously owned the Syrah pre and loved it, especially the phono stage. I sold it when I had to downsize. Well I just placed a deposit on Micks Pinot stand alone phono stage and...
Preamp Deal of the Century
Hello Slowhand. I am looking to order the new Pinot phono stage. What are your favorite NOS tubes for the Cortese phono stage? Unfortunately I sold off all my W.E. 350B's years ago after I sold my Sarah, and most of my 6SN7 collection. Looks like ...
Selling Tubes.
jbrrp1, any chance you would sell me a quad of Ei KT-90??
TX-103 break in.
chakster, I think its an excellent device, it's as good or even a little better than the TX-103 SUT's. To answer your question, no I have not opened it up. But I have considered having SoraSound send it back to Japan as there is an upgrade for it....
TX-103 break in.
racamuti, I suppose it's possible that it was broken in, but I have my doubts. They should sound better than they do. I ordered the resisters today from partsconnexion and have the RCA's ready. I have a ZYX CPP-1 Pre-PreAmp to use while the SUT's ...
TX-103 break in.
Thank you elizabeth, I appreciate your help. I will be ordering from partsconnexion tonight.roberjerman, I did not take physics in college, so I guess I am screwed. But when it comes to SUT's I think I will be taking advice from folks like Thorste...
TX-103 break in.
Got it, thank you very much. Connect my CD player to the inputs on the SUT's, play an appropriate CD on repeat (Classical). On the resistor, does the value matter?
TX-103 break in.
Thank you for responding. I'm pretty sure I am following what you said. What I don't understand is connecting the CD player to the output of the transformer, then connecting the RCA/resistor to the input. Isn't that backwards? How is the transform...
Bent Audio SUT
Yes, it does use S&B. Thanks for the link, now to find a friend who can explain it and understand how to rewire them for me. They are wired to a toggle that is on top.
