Keep your horror stories for yourself @lewm if you don’t owm any of those. And BTW the OP cartridge is Technics MM from the 70’s (notorious for softened suspension). It’s been discussed million times, if you want to try some of the best MM (in per...
I Have Airborne Feedback And Never Realized It...Till Now
Audio-Technica designed pneumatic insulators (AT-616) long time ago and this is still the best solution for turntables under 60kg weight.

Nice, my advice is to upgrade your cartridge with something like AT-ML170, Grace LEVEL II, Victor X1II, Stanton SC-100 WOS, Pickering XSV/5000 .... They are all much better than your technics cartridge.

EMS is Air Mail only.Custom (export) inspection is just scan of the box, takes 5 min.The problem is available flight to USA. My recent parcels to L.A. or Miami took 7 days with EMS (very quick)

Grace F9 is much better with genuine US-14 stylus, this is next generation of styli for F14 (fully compatible with F9). The goal of US-14 is MicroLine (ML) stylus tip. Sometimes it's hrad to understand what type of stylus Grace used, but when ML s...

In external phono cable, especially  used one, the problem can occur in the soldering joints, it can be inside RCA or DIN, each connector can be inspected and re-soldered.
Borrowing equipment from dealers
I don’t deal with dealers, prefer used equipment, never auditioned anything but cables (long time ago) , but buying them from dealers was not so smart move as the same used cables online are 70% cheaper. I don’t want to borrow anything from dealer...
Hum after replacing tonearm cable
I thought you arm was rewired internally too. Or you are talking about external cable only?

Good, normally you need much more and not only at first reflection points, probably you need some serious bass traps.
Hum after replacing tonearm cable
I hope your phono cable is shielded?Simple tests: 1) Disconnect tonearm ground wire from the phono stage and listen.2) Connect additional ground wire with stripped ends from your phono groung plug to tonearm metal part and listen. If the hum is go...

If so then you need a room treatment, order acoustic analysis of your room and buy absorbers, diffusers and bass traps for your room. Concrete floor is the worst material for listening room, if your walls are similar then it’s terrible.
Selecting tonearm and cartridge.HELP
Reed 3p is amazing, must be a great match for your Lyra. Not sure if they made anything heavier than my Reed (12 inch and about 18g)? For Koetsu you could use something like Ikeda.
Amethyst versus Nagaoka MP-150/MP-200

Cartridge for my friend
