Bin dug noisy records. Does it diminish your enjoyment?
If you really like these records just find better copies and pay more for them in Mint- condition.

Upgrading Technics 1200 Tonearm under $1000
My idea is to keep the stock arm and concentrate on cartridge!Or to sell this turntable and to buy SP-10 mkII with unlimited choice of tonearms (except for ’9 inch arms). With SL1200 mkII your choice is very limited because of the pivot to spindle...
Best vintage DD turntables from the 70's and 80's?
According to this gentleman’s video-he is swapping motor and power supply on a Luxman PD-441 Which purportedly uses the same motor, the motors manufacturer is Mitsubishi..... Wow, Mitsubishi. Another Japanese giant.
SOTA NOVA, HR-X VPI, Technics 1200G recommendations?
@chakster,  Michael Fremer liked some carbon fiber mat on Technics 1200G. Do you think CU-180 is better? How do you handle warped records? Periphery ring? I don't have warped records in my collection, I use weight or clamp on top. Mr. Fremer do...
SOTA NOVA, HR-X VPI, Technics 1200G recommendations?
@chakster, if you have 100 people dancing on a bad floor the Technics will fail badly. DJs use them because they are cheap and they have a lot of torque. Not to mention that they put an oscillating magnetic device right under a very sensitive magn...

Refurbish Fidelity Research Tonearms
With modern technology, light armatures and rare earth magnets, stiff compliance cartridges should be a thing of the past as well as the heavy arms needed to hold them correctly. As far as audio is concerned I have no desire to relive the past. Th...
SOTA NOVA, HR-X VPI, Technics 1200G recommendations?
Dance floors are usually concrete so, there is never an issue with foot fall skipping. Usually wooden floor if we’re talking about nice small venues, but there is an issue with floor shaking (or stage shaking) if it’s not a warehouse with concrete...
recommendation for a high end analog system
@lohanimal I was lucky to find NOS genuine Pickering D4000 stylus in the box :)
SOTA NOVA, HR-X VPI, Technics 1200G recommendations?
I think Technics philosophy is very simple: 1) compact plug and play unit is new 1200 series (great price from $900 per unit like mk7, $1700 for GR and $3500 for G). 2) reference “R” series for people who would like to use their own plinth, differ...
