Want to get into Analog
@big_greg The best company to retip Stanton/Pickering is EXPERT STYLUS in UK. You can email them to ask for the price: info@expertstylus.co.uk  The stylus profile is Paratrace and the price is very reasonable if you can't find the OG replacement.
Best MM?
@nandric the price for any ADC would never be higher than $200 today, there are plenty of them available everyday. The exception is for rare Astrion MM with Sapphire cantilever (but an average sound) and the latest TRX IM 1,2,3 series designed for...
Want to get into Analog
@big_greg  I recently picked up a JVC QL-Y66F DD table with a Stanton 981 HZS cartridge for $545. Is it better than my digital sources (which isn't something the OP asked for by the way)? No. Do the used records I buy sound really nice on it afte...
Best MM?
@nandric There is nothing special about those cartridges if you will look at the specs and diamond/cantilever types. ADC 26 is very cheap cartridge from the 60’s, 25/27 designed before XLM series (which is crap too) IM type cartridge with the sam...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
@travbrow   The models I liked the most were the ATML170, Technics 100CMKIV and the Empires. Welcome back. The AT-ML170 and AT-ML180 are killer MM and i like then much better than Technics EPC-100c mk3 for example. Also never seen AT-ML with bad ...
Want to get into Analog
The cheapest tables with arm come in at 3K. @orpheus10  No, since Technics is back to business with Coreless Direct Drive (considered by many audiophiles as the best DD available today) and for very reasonable price, for example the 1200GR is ...

The Technics SL-1200mk2 is a risky proposition. Most of them have been thrashed by rap-“DJ”s and will need all moving parts replaced. Some "Rap-DJ" ruined @sleepwalker65 life? Why so much hate for them in every post about 1200mk2 ? Moving record ...
Tru-Lift tonearm lifter for Technics
@oldschool1948 I purchased mine about 3 months ago. I hadn’t thought about dust. I don’t use Dust Cover on my Technics, actually i don’t use dust cover on any turntables. But that silicone fluid is sticky and dust will be there anyway soon, afte...
Want to get into Analog
I’m thinking of taking a plunge into analog sources by picking up a vintage DD turntable. You must be an experienced user to understand what you’re buying when it comes to vintage DD. Or you need someone you can assist you. There seems to be an en...
Not Enjoying My Turntable
If your cartridge skips look at the needle tip for dust, you need $10 Carbon Fibre Brush to clean your record surface on the platter each time before you will play it. To clean the stylus tip you need THIS
Tru-Lift tonearm lifter for Technics
I have a few black KAB fluid dampers that i don't use anymore, i think they are only collect dust, because the a silicon fluid bath is open all the time, in a few years of regular use it's a disaster (full of dust). I think it took me 7 years to d...
