Turntable, Two Arms, Stereo and Mono: Is your system ready for 2 phono???
In my situation i have to connect 4 tonearms on two different turntables to one rack in the middle (with my amps, preamps). Connecting two at the same time is a must and i'm happy that with Gold Note PH-10 i can do that. The benefit of Gold Note P...
KISEKI PURPLE NS your reviews....
@andychris You're right, personally i don't mind if it looks like a DIY inside IF IT WORKS FINE. In fact most of the cartridges are handmade by its designer. But if i will notice any problem with a NEW cartridge i want to be able to return for ful...
Tonearm lift
What's the diff? Maybe just the shape of the platform that support the armtube, since the arm is linear tracking it's not necessary to make it curved?
Tonearm lift
What is ET ?Do you mean tonearm lift like this ?There is no difference in arm lift for straight and pivoted tonearms, the more important how you can fix it to the arm. BUT FOR LINEAR TRACKING ARM there is a difference

They are very bad belt drive for crazy price like $2000 and can’t compete with Technics GR Direct Drive that OP can buy for $1500 (amazing deal actually).Schiit is a piece of sh.... t.A proper phono stage required anyway sooner or later, SoundSmit...
Cartridge (other than Rega) with Rega RP10
Dynavector with short Diamond cantilever is great and this cantilever is very well protected, the other two cartridges with long cantilever in front of the cartridge can be smashed easily and it will be a tragedy. 17DX17D2 mkII Delos Apheta 3
Upgrade phono stage?
@mijostin Buried somewhere I still have one of my old Stanton 681EE cartridges brush and all. In it’s day it was a great cartridge (brush removed) In no way is it a match for something like the Ortofon 2M Black never mind the Clearaudio MM cartri...

Sent Back the Pro-ject Turntable: What would be the best option in the $1800 range?
Can anyone recommend a cartridge that pairs well with the SL-1200GR? It needs to be $450 or less. @kimtPickering XSV-3500 and Stanton 881 for Technics tonearm are great, these models are withing your price range. Grace F-9 is another killer MM wi...
Repair Vintage Bang &Olufsen ?
Chakster, my understanding is that B+O designed this style of moving iron cartridge and held the patent. Lederman was contracted to repair them and as dbx implied Lederman took over the rights to this design. Soundsmith didn't design B&O...
Sent Back the Pro-ject Turntable: What would be the best option in the $1800 range?
The SP 10 is just expensive beautifully made junk. SP-10 was made in 1969, I am talking about SP-10 mkII from the mid 70’s and SP-10 MKIII as the reference Technics standard in the 80’s and until now unbeatable. All 3 turntables are different, i w...
Repair Vintage Bang &Olufsen ?
Soundsmith didn’t design B&O cartridges in the 70s. B&O designed their own cartridges back then. What Soundsmith did was buy the rights to reverse engineer the MMC design from B&O and manufacture their own versions No, SoundSmith was ...
