New to this. How do I stack my stuff? Believe it or not, this set of speakers is often showcased together with a turntable, exactly as presented in this YouTube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w40quzYNHANot exactly optimal. Lol
New to this. How do I stack my stuff? “In other words which is better: higher end cables with poor component position or good component position with lesser cables?”It is the entire system quality that needs to be considered. Eliminating certain distortions like proximal effects of sp...
New to this. How do I stack my stuff? N80. Keep your Transparent RCA cable. It’s perfectly fine. You can easily set up the CD player away from the ARC preamp using the usable length of your RCA cable. I am only referring to swapping in a longer run of the balanced IC between your prea...
Have Passive Preamps Finally Come of Age? This back and forth is hilarious. Let us distill it to its simplest form. 1. atmosphere considers George’s Lightspeed unit to be a fine passive preamp device, albeit limited in its design (1 input and 1 output) and clearly not as good as what atmo...
New to this. How do I stack my stuff? @n80 I respect your opinion about the 6’ run of balanced Transparent cables being audibly fine sounding cables in a given system. I encourage you to think outside of the box regarding a couple possible advantages of swapping out those balanced cab...
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord? And maybe the very nice lady from cptstatus@outlook.com took another summer holiday. My point is that a myriad of legitimate reasons might exist for the lack of responsiveness from Mark.

DO CABLES REALLY MATTER? glupson....they know who they are and I know who they are. I directed my comment to them. You need to know their posting habits to get my comment, which is made out of playful respect to them. There is sufficient info here on the forum threads and...
DO CABLES REALLY MATTER? @glupson Lol.
DO CABLES REALLY MATTER? Wow....I never seen the Teo guys so active on a given thread. You others must have stirred the pot sufficiently to keep them engaged for so long. Anywho....back to cables making a difference.I am not the greatest listener, nor do I have perfect he...
Sellers adding for PayPal use is plainly BS Agreed. The seller controls all aspects of the transaction and should be willing to pick up the PP fees. If the seller accepts an offer then nothing really changes the calculus in my mind about the seller picking up the PP fees.
New to this. How do I stack my stuff? @n80, I love your small footer riser solution. You can relocate both the CD player and preamp to another place in the room if you use a long run (e.g., 15’-40’) of balanced interconnects from the preamp to the power amp.
New to this. How do I stack my stuff? @n80, this is one thread in which a pic of your setup would help. Too bad the forum isn’t set up with that functionality. Having your speakers flanking your other gear is not uncommon. I recommend moving your preamp off the surface of the CD playe...
Dose anyone know the Spectron audio is still provide services or not? I’ve tried repeatedly to contact someone st Spectron. Phone goes to voice mail. Email replies not forthcoming.
Store auditioning and then buying on-line from others. How do you feel about it ? One gets what one pays for. Just don’t plan to request warranty work from that dealer whom you screwed over by auditioning gear with them and then ended up buying the same gear elsewhere or online. What comes around goes around. Karma screws thos... |
