Why Power Cables Affect Sound
I see the post police are active tonight. Maybe I should sneak off to the insider site to really cause hell.
Why Power Cables Affect Sound
And of course, I say all that in fun. lol
Why Power Cables Affect Sound
Geoff/Kosst, nothing is ever free here. Just ask Maritime51. Lol
Why Power Cables Affect Sound
Geoff/Kosst, split personality. There are treatments available.  Just saying...
Has any inexpensive Asian DAC manufacturer harnessed the ESS Sabre ES9038PRO Chip?
☝🏻☝🏻 Agreed with respect to the defective board being identified, the replacement of which gave better results on unbalanced outputs. As for other measurements, the SMSL VMV D1 DAC still had the ESS hump in the IMD-volume plot regardless of the bo...
Why Power Cables Affect Sound
mkgus 12/19/2018 4:59pm post. I think you are looking at this wrong. The electricity coming through a power cable isn’t divided into discrete frequency components.
Why Power Cables Affect Sound
Why do I get the impression that Kosst and Geoff are the same person? Anyone else notice they always show up on the same threads?
Why Power Cables Affect Sound
kosst, And a lot of incoming AC sucks, too. Not saying that is due to lack of shielding though.mkgus, Perhaps the simplest answer to your query is the differences in conditioning of the power cable you used on your older player versus your newer p...
Why Power Cables Affect Sound
I would add to Geoff’s list and suggest the solid vs. fluid nature of the conductor. Teo_Audio, where are your liquid metal fluid power cables?
Why Power Cables Affect Sound
Can’t let Geoff have the last word on this one. +1, to markalarsenI’d go further and suggest all cables are influenced by EMI. And some cables don’t have a shield. Just saying that as a matter of fact, not preference or argument. But arguably, som...
Difference between ESS Sabre Burr Brown Wolfson DACs
There’s a lot of DAC’s with ESS chips in designs having a crappy implementation.

Regarding the above DAC (SMSL VMV D1), it got a favorable review from Audio Science Review. Amirm recommended it for balanced output use only. See: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/review-and-measurements-of-smsl-vmv-d1-d...

Abasia, Inexpensive means $500 or less for this discussion. The SMSL VMV D1 DAC has 2 ES9038PRO chips. Each chip has 8 channels that can be combined together.

Lol, +1 ☝🏻
Has any inexpensive Asian DAC manufacturer harnessed the ESS Sabre ES9038PRO Chip?
DAC3B uses the ES9028PRO chip, not the newer ES9038PRO chip.
