Super Audio CD
Yes, by all means, laugh at me. It's obvious that you know a whole lot more than me, and can hear better than me, so I absolutely defer to your thoughts here. I apologize for trying to tell you something, when I couldn't possibly know what I'm tal...
Is SACD really this lousy?
David, you know I sypmathize, but calm down. You won't win anybody over to the good side of the Force by sniping. Read what you wrote: "vinyl-vs-analog"? You meant "digital-vs-analog", didn't you? Anyway, everybody just calm down, and listen to th...
Is SACD really this lousy?
I've been laughing at the SCD-1's op amp output stage since it came out last year. Go back and read "CD-vs-SACD-vs-DVD-vs-vinyl".
Who has built their own speaker systems
My design ideas are less extreme and perhaps more elegant, but I don't feel the need to be ridiculed by the jerkwads on here that don't know as much about speaker design as I do (which is most all of them). A few of my designs might be good enough...
Built your own speakers ?
Mine will be better than you think.
Classical Audiophiles Rejoice!
Anyway, Audiogon has threatened to revoke my membership for doing what the so-called "ears" guy did, so all of you should be warned against it.
Super Audio CD

Cables, Interconnects and More Cables???
I don't off hand, sorry, Dcaseyb, but I'm glad to hear that someone has finally followed my recomendations. Cheers...Carl
Anyone heard the Resolution CD55?
Intrigueing, especially regarding the upsampling. I'll probably try one at some point. I can't imagine that the 55 won't be a whole lot better than the 831, since the 50 is definitely better than the 830, 850.
Built your own speakers ?
I disagree, Keis.
Great sound possible using a Subwoofer?
That's CD of course, sorry for the typo.
Great sound possible using a Subwoofer?
Nick, play a test VCD with third octave pink noise, listen in the listening seat, and see if your pseakers really are flat to 38 Hz in your room. They might not be.

Madisonears has a swearword in caps...needs to be warned of your policy immediately.
ROGUE AUDIO 88 AMP
Gee David, that's not a deal. That's what they are brand new from Parts Connection. I would have bought a used one if I'd found one for under $550, and a used one with full upgrades for under $700. So far, the Rogue is amazing in the midrange, but...
