Big Karan amps Dev, I contacted a Karan dealer in Norway where I live, but he hasn't even contacted me back or followed up my interest... Meanwhile, I experienced that all Nordost cabling in my system has transformed the sound to a new and unbelievable level. I ...
Big Karan amps Mmike,I have 20T v1 and one pair of 301s. The 301s have double binding posts and I use two sets of speaker cables. I thought you had Ayre MXR amps. Have you replaced them with the Rowland 304?

New Rowland Criterion 2-chassis battery pre Valhalla is the best cable I have had in my system with 301 monos. The trick was to have Valhalla all the way. When I had Valhalla only partly in the chain, the sound was too bright and edgy, but all Valhalla has made my 301 shine as absolutely fa...
Big Karan amps Bvdiman, yes I agree with your thoughts. I have recently invested heavily in Burmester reference gear, both the 069 cd and 077 pre, and have no plans of replacing them. They are truely wonderful sounding! Nordost is also preferred brand for Burmest...
Big Karan amps Bvdiman, yes I know, my goal is to replace the Valhalla from source to pre with Odin, also to add onw or two Odin power cords for front end components. The Brittish Hifi+ magazine has a review of the Odin power cords in the current issue (no 62) an...

Big Karan amps Nolitan,Thanks for your reply on this thread. I am sorry, but I have absolutely no experience with Lamm. So can you plz give more insight in why you think I should consider Lamm compared to the other amps I am leaning towards (Karan M 650 / Theta ...
Big Karan amps Bvdiman,Most of the amps you mention are out of question for me. Maybe expect from Boulder and Solution I think they are colder sounding and more analytical than the Karan and hence closer to my Rowlands. I have not heard all of them, but that is ...
Which Integrated got you off the merry go round? I have Jeff Rowland Continuum 500 in my 2nd system.Definately a stayer!
Cary Audio...What do you have ? I had a V12 stereo amp once and added a second stereo V12 to bi-amp my previous speakers, Proac Response D80. I thought one was not powerful enough. But so with two also. They just couldn't deliver tight bass notes. I think Cary V12's are amps mos...
Gryphon Diablo or Accuphase E-450 That is two very different amps you are considering. The Accuphase is warmer and sweeter than the Gryphon which is more towards details and speed - and too analytical for my taste. I would definately have chosen the Accuphase. |
