@jastralfu my listening room isn’t optimal so I have done a lot of work with everything else to get a great sound that I like. I can’t do much about my room.

@erik_squires but some can’t do anything about the room. You can still have great sound to me. You have to get equipment matching and cabling to help you in my opinion.  But if you can fix the room. That helps a lot.
Is it important to long demo or own HIGH END gear to have a fair accurate view about it?
@jafant I traded that in so that I can could by the Infigo Method 4 Dac. I work with Infigo Audio. I bought the Method 4 because Hans used to work with the inventor of the Ess Sabre Dac chip and when he developed this Dac. I heard it and was amaze...

@jafant i tried the soulution 746 pulium integrated combo.  Both are great pieces. But as a combo very analogue sounding a bit on the cozy side. I just swapped the soulution out and I’m trying an esoteric N-01XD dac so far it’s a better match. Lit...

@mahgister i understand your point. But with that being said. I mean highly engineered equipment that sells at higher price points because of the alleged build quality and technology etc.

Best Used Speaker Under $4,000 w/ Respectable Lows
Look if you can get your hands on a gato fm6. Do it.  Used 4-5 grand retail 14k. It is a sister of the gamut high end stuff. It’s still my reference. I got 50k of Amos and dacs on it and it’s still shining.
Have we lost civility and respect on Audio forums?
@koh_i_noor i left the platform because of the nastiness because I represent a brand i don’t wanna go off cause it hurts our Infigo brands so i watch it now.  People who don’t know you talk super reckless. They say stuff that’s disrespectful. Like...

Is it important to long demo or own HIGH END gear to have a fair accurate view about it?
@tomic601 yes. I would get the gear after the owner had it for 6 months of heavy listening. I would typically keep it for about 3 months 4 months at a time. Listening everyday after work and on weekends. Sometimes just letting it run at night. @ja...

@tomic601 turntables are a whole other monster. $$. I haven’t heard the number of turntables as opposed to digital. I have heard some turntables but not the really expensive ones. My turntable knowledge is limited

@tomic601 a few years ago during this journey the owner of a company o worked with swapped out gear 2 to 3 times a year which led to about 5 or 6 years of long extended 2 to 3 month demos with gear.  I haven’t ears as many turntables as digital bu...
