Paradigm Reference Studio vs. B&W N804 The Paradigm is an awesome speaker. I've heard both in the same room with same electronics. Of course it has more bass but also appeared to have a much better off axis sound. The N804 has pinpoint images. The Paradigm threw a less focused soundsta...
Speaker placement with big screen in the middle Your speakers need to be forward of the big screen to avoid reflection though at the distance you have them spaced apart this may not be a problem. With most speakers, such a far spacing kills the soundstage. I'd try moving them close together and...

Unsettled and considering changing stuff How about an SACD player and a couple or Rolling Stones albums? I think that wil cure you ills. I see that you have an extremely nice turntable but just try it anyway.

In-Wall Speakers I purchased Mcintosh in-wall and then had a housing built so that I could wall mount them. I saved 1000 dollars by doing this rather than buying a similar model with the same drivers.

Proceed amp-5 vs. Bryston 9bst Exact same experience. I think the Bryston is clearly a better amp. Cleaner and better in the midrange.
Anyone audition/own the new McIntosh speakers? I think they are extremely detailed, especially in the upper range. They have the 5 tweeter bessel array that is able to provide great highs, extreme detail and at the same time not be bright. The bass is also very good. You can hear pitch changes...
Review: Dunlavy Audio Labs SC-IV Speaker This the SC-IV and not the SC-IVa? The a version is supposed to have pretty good bass.
Review: Dunlavy Audio Labs SC-IVa Thanks Jadem6! That is truly a great review. Everyone isn't always able to convey why they like a speaker. You did a great job of doing that.
