B&w 803s. Vs nautilus 802
Whoever claims the 802N is fussy in the mids needs their hearing checked as they must have severe hearing impairment. In Fact they are just the opposite. They are ruthlessly revealing. Now, if they said the 802D was fuzzy in the mids I would agree....
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
That last post was just plain evil.
EMM-Labs XDS1 vs Esoteric K-01
04-18-11: Talk2meI don't know how to be more delicate in saying this, but Burmester Top or Reference Line is the best in the world without a doubt, period, end of discussion. If you value all the best things from valves and vinyl with the reliabil...
A VERY interesting DAC indeed
It got a very good review on headfi but I would like to hear from actual owners. I'm really interested in it but hesitant to drop 4 grand on a newcomer( and all the implications that goes along with that).
Any one compared a Lampizator to Weiss 202 DAC?
Chayro I completely agree.Living in Canada,I would never buy anything that expensive unless I could have it serviced in Canada or the U.S.
B&W 801D or 802Ds
In my opinion the 804 diamonds are superior to the older 802D( which I owned). I now have the 800 diamond which is in an entirely different legue(imo).
another thread on DACS/players...thoughts please
I am not sure this will get posted here but I will post it on other sites. Here is an interesting and enlightening read on J.Tinn and Emmlabs. http://docs.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/oregon/ordce/3:2007cv00963/84055/181/0.pdf?1270846062
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
To me music is a often a spiritual experience and I actually seem to hear more into the music.I don't think I would ever have that experience during a DBT. I think the stress of it alone would be enough to throw off results.
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
I was just kidding around
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
Why do intelligent people insist there are differences when none exist?
Do all CD players benefit from burn in?
Like Buconero117, for the longest time I thought component burn-in was a load B.S . It just sounded like a load of crap and that it was really just a period of time for the listener to adjustment to the new sound .I now know differently.
Saw the Stereophile review of the B&W 800 Diamond
My rating of 1-10 is compared to live music. The cost of the speaker is irrelevant and of course it is just "my opinion". I rate the 802D at 6 and 800 Diamond at 9 compared to live music. The 802D sounds veiled and has excessive bass bloat in my op...
Saw the Stereophile review of the B&W 800 Diamond
Kal I just read your review of the B&W 800 Diamond. I have been living with these speakers for about 6 months now and I think you nailed it perfectly. We all use different adjectives to describe things but in the context used I agree 100% with...
Saw the Stereophile review of the B&W 800 Diamond
Well, we all hear differently and of course personal taste comes into play. I haven't heard that many speakers but I find the 800 Diamond to sound very natural and has the best tweeter I ever heard in any speaker regardless of price. I don't find ...
Saw the Stereophile review of the B&W 800 Diamond
I had the B&W 802D and traded up to the latest 800 Diamond. If I were to rate them on a scale of 1-10 I would say the 802D would score a 6 and the 800 Diamonds a 9 . The 800 Diamonds do a lot of things very very well. I can't say the same for ...
