Annoying newbie CD/SACD player question
Also have the Audiolab 6000CDT along with the KEF LS50 Wireless V2 in my final "compact" system. Will be moving to a smaller place and all previous gear will be for sale including a Luxman D06u SACD CDP, Pass Labs amp, Conrad Johnson pre, Joseph A...
Seeking Budget CD Player Suggestions
Check out the What Hi Fi "budget compact disc players" recommendations. Have choices within your friends budget. For a slightly pricier alternative, I would suggest considering the Audiolab 6000CDT or the Cambridge Audio equivalent (transport only...
Shocking Lampizator Service
Typically, most people who respond to threads like this tend to post negative comments. Not criticing those folks but this is not unusual and is human nature. You will see this phenomena on other luxury products like expensive vehicles and other ...
"Audiophile" Power Cables: The Greatest Audio Conspiracy Theory of All Time?
FWIW, compared a top Pangea PC to my Shunyata (use this brand on all my components) plugged into my Luxman D06u CDP. No contest. And will gladly admit that, IMHO and using my ears, wire does make a big difference. And I do have a decent system; Jo...

Luxman D07x
IMO, the Luxman is the exact opposite of flashy and shiny. Those words apply to the older Esoteric CDP's. I have the D06u. Very musical and easy to listen for many hours.
Upgrading cd player
You really should check out the Luxman 07x SACD CDP if possible. Retail is 10K. Detailed yet very musical. They also have RB CDP's for less money. I have the D06U which is the previous model.  I much preferred over the Esoteric K01 and the dcs Pu...
MBL 126 or 120
Hi prof,We exchanged posts on the Joseph Audio Pulsars and the upgrade in the recent past.  I decided to but the MBL 121's instead of upgrading the Pulsars.  I had the 116's in the past. About the same amount of "out of pocket" for me.  I think a ...
Wilson Audio Specialties Chronosonic XVX loudspeaker!! only $300,000.oo
If one is going to spend $300K on a speaker, there would only be one choice.  The MBL 101 Extremes.
Intimate, warm and holographic alternative
MBL’s can’t hold a candle to a "proper ESL"?. Really. I have no idea what "proper" means but I have owned the Acoustic 1 + 1, and four different ML models including the Summit over some 30 years. My last "large" speaker was the MBL 116. No contest...
Magico Customer service
Kenjit is just spouting nonsense like he always does. Best advice, just ignore.
Joseph Audio Pulsar placement and tips
I have the Pulsars (with a REL T7i sub) and use all genres of music for tuning. I would discourage you and from using a very limited song selection. This will provide a very narrow window regarding your systems potential overall performance. And I...
Intimate, warm and holographic alternative
There is no ideal.  It's all about system synergy and your personal preference.  Having said that, I'd recommend that you look at MBL.
If you don't have a wide sweet spot, are you really an audiophile?
The MBL’s (though pricey) excel, in the two channel mode, to present a wide soundstage and can be enjoyed in many different listening positions.
Digital Player Upgrade Options
Used Luxman D05 or D-05u.
