Guest suddenly takes it upon herself to move my speakers
Geez, a little boat humor with @tomic601 and my post gets scrubbed?  I’m Sorry if the humor of my wife forgetting to put the hull plug in the Baja was offensive.
Guest suddenly takes it upon herself to move my speakers
Never caught anyone moving things.  Have had to whisk other people's children away from my system as they just couldn't listen to the "do not touch" command.  The worst thing to happen here was my niece coming for a visit and she had to bring her ...

@nonoise tomic and I are strictly referring to boating...nothing else.  @tomic601 lol, at least they’re unsinkable.....kinda. I kept pushing the Baja’s trim tabs down to get on plane and it just didn’t get there.....that’s when the light bulb lit....
The “They are here” vs “You are there” sound topic
kenjit800 Hz down covers a broad spectrum of instrument fundamentals but those same instruments will never sound real without their 2nd and 3rd order harmonics.  Instruments are not one pitch wonders and need every overtone to create their timbre....

@mijostynOne clarifier, Mirage M1si and M3si were bi-polar designs -  Otherwise yes on the di-pole assessment and to be honest, from memory, the M1 & M3 did create the largest sound stages I ever heard in my old house.  They also gave me some ...
The “They are here” vs “You are there” sound topic
To my ears and in my rooms I have found most conventional designs lean towards they are here presentations.  Projecting into the room with less rear wall interaction. A few exceptions along the way of stellar designs have done both when the record...

+1 for a well documented and transparent source of knowledge.  Danny dives deep at times and provides data along the way.
Ive recieved an offer for my set of Aerial 7T speakers of $700.00. Should I accept?
@jaredb84 You indicated in your other post that the equipment was purchased in 2000. This would indicate the Aerial Acoustics would be Model 7B. Much different pricing points compared to the 7T.https://web.archive.org/web/20000918235433/http://www...

@tomic601 while I can play Carnival it’s not in my normal wheelhouse.  Jazz, funk and big band is where I do damage.  I’ve tipped the meter a few times with my Callichio 1s2 in the upper register (F6, Ab6 and Bb6) in excess of 140 dB which the Shu...
