Fourplay ...yes please Jazz CD As I started this post and now see it has resurfaced, I thought I would follow up. I now own all of Fourplay's discs, except their Christmas and Best of CD's. At this point they are easily my favorite group.I should no better than get sucked into ...
FM antennae recommendations please? BTW, you can read user reviews of both the Fanfare and Magnum Dynalab antennas, they are basically the same, the MD is a copy of the Fanfare, at www.audioreview.com, look under tuners.Quick links:Fanfare FM-2G: http://www.audioreview.com/reviews/T...
FM antennae recommendations please? I have the Fanfare antenna mentioned above, I haven't compared it with anything else but I feel I have very good reception. No complaints with it's performance. I moved it to the peak of my roof about two months ago, this improved the performance ...
Question about break-in method for interconnects I will echo the above, I was told by Lou at LAT International that the source only needs be on, (ie. Tuner, CD player, etc.), the preamp does not. Your example was for between an amp and pre, if possible, I would hook the cable between a source an...
Granite under your amp??? I too have wood floors, I use skeets under my spikes, made by Linn.
Granite under your amp??? Gtejr, you simply set your spikes on the granite? If so, isn't it easy to slide them around on the granite?Did you notice any change with these bases?
Granite under your amp??? What Killerpiglet mentioned sounds interesting, it's very inexpensive.
Granite under your amp??? Does somewhere like Home Depot carry these? How much would I expect to pay? What exactly does it perform? (Reducing vibration...?) As for support, I would place it on one of my shelves on my Sanus stand.
Granite under your amp??? I was thinking more like 1" thick. Dimenesions would be no bigger than 17 1/2 x 19 1/2, I can't imagine this coming anywhere near 200 lbs.
Any firms that do mod's to amplifiers? Stephan Sank. http://stephensank.com
Day Sequerra Reference Service I would second the Stephan Sank recommendation.
What equipment would you recommend? For two channel, the Mark Levinsin 383 is a beautiful piece, a joy to use with awesome performance; add a Fanfare FT-1A tuner; there are a multitude of CD players to choose from and get the best speakers you can afford, I read good things on the C...
Suggestions for mini-system -- 300-400 I took my Dad to the stereo shop, he hasn't a clue what he or she wants! There was a little Denon with Mission speakers for $699. For that price I could buy him a set of bookshelves and a receiver and cheapo CD player. It wouldn't be as small, but...
FM antennae question Thanks for the replies. The reason my brother bolted it lower was because of the drip-edge and shingles that hang over, maybe 3/4 to and inch. Bolting it lower allowed for the antenna to clear the drip-edge easier; in lieu of Sc53's message maybe ...
How hard is it to admit you bought bad gear? I think Audioreview is another tool to help in our researching, I am glad it exists, but you have keep an open mind while doing using it. Generally, the more user reviews the better. There are some, I am not excluding myself, that give rave review... |
