Marantz
Tbone, when you say $800, are you talking US dollars? Also, do you know the US list prices of the 9s1 amp and 7s1 pre? I saw one ad that if I read it right they were around $15,000 each.
Decent SACD?
What about the Marantz SA-14?
Levinson No. 383 v. Musical Fidelity Trivista 300
I agree that at the price point you are looking at that there may be others you would want to include in your list, some are already listed above; my vote, from my experience, is the Rowland.
What is the best FM tuner with remote tuning?
Interesting Whatjd, I didn't realize the Classe was based on a Linn; I too have heard positive comments on the Linn Kremlin and suspect it is very good. Why not just purchase another Classe if you like it? The remote feature is nice. Report back o...
What is the best FM tuner with remote tuning?
As you say Meisterkleef, we can agree to disagree and I am glad you are enjoying the Fanfare, it is a nice looking piece. If you want a second opinion, click here:http://www.fmtunerinfo.com/shootouts.html#FT-1A
What is the best FM tuner with remote tuning?
Hi Jim,I will share what I can, which will not be much, my experience with the TU-717 was very little. The 717 I had only worked on channels above 100, I did fix this later, but because of this I only used it for a very short time. Playing on memo...
What is the best FM tuner with remote tuning?
Well, I have owned the Fanfare FT-1A, I thoroughly enjoyed owning it and the remote is nice, but "none better" is not accurate; I have owned a Sansui TU-717 and curruntly use a Yamaha T-2 and place both above it for performance, but they lack the ...
Where do I start?
You will most likely get a wide range of suggestions, mine is, once you have the TT you want, I would buy the best speakers you can possibly afford and worry about the electronics later.
What is the best FM tuner with remote tuning?
Though I don't know the answer, I have some suggestions; look into the Meridian tuners, I suspect they have remote and also the Linn tuner(s), and I don't necessary mean their current lines, if they are still making them. Also, I would contact Don ...
Has anyone demoed Audio Teknes cables?
I have not heard the IC's, but the speaker cables are very nice indeed; I cannot speak of the Dynaflux as I haven't heard them.
B&W 803 B&W 804 optimium room size
I think the greater question may be how much power you have; I can't speak for the 804's, but the 803's need a good amount of power. There have been many posts discussing the 804 vs. the 803, some will claim the 804 is close, then others, like abov...
Best band of the 80's
I am not sure of any *rules* here, but Bruce started wayyy before the 80's.
Best band of the 80's
I am not *voting* for either of the following just mentioning Bon Jovi and Def Leppard; two, of several, 80's bands that come to mind.

McIntosh MR7083 vs. Magnum Dynalab MD100 tuner
The MR80 is a respectable tuner, but in my very humble opinion, and it is just that, an opinion, one could meet and beat the MR80 for less than $800; that said, if this person wants to buy Mac to match his sytem, I concur, buy the MR80.
