Preamps suggestions for cary cad120s
The Cary SLP-05 is a very nice pre, BUT it does not have a built in phono as per the OP's requirement.
Krell KSA-200s First Time Use
Audiolabyrinth, the Krell KSA-200S manual states that the amp is designed to be used with a dedicated 20amp circuit. However, I believe that the OP’s problem is not attributed to him using a 15amp circuit due to the fact that the amp cannot even t...
Krell KSA-200s First Time Use
The Krell 200S is designed to be used with a 20amp circuit, but what you are describing is IMHO not attributed to using a 15amp supply. The 200S at idle, only consumes 150 watts, therefore, the 15amp current supply should not be starving the 200s....
New Schroeder linear tonearm, any thoughts?
Mr. Schroder’s clear, concise, detailed and professional responses, sure gives me the confidence to try one of his products.

My vote is also for the Cary SLP-98P but I would get the directly coupled F1 edition with the Lundahl step-up transformers installed for use with MC cartridges. If you plan on running just MM cartridges, you can skip the Lundahl step-up transformers.
I need help selling an item
Post a for sale ad on Audiogon. Make sure the unit functions and post a lot of pictures. People can research the item online if they want tech details.

Goo Gone can safely remove tape residue without affecting the underlying paint/finish of the arm....if you decide to try an adhesive tape approach.

Why not use premium grade vinyl electrical tape? I have also heard about people using liquid paper to damp tone arms.

If you don't mind taking the arm apart, use 3:1 heat shrinking tube around the arm tube and heat it up to fit snuggly.
Does anybody make a arm pod for an external arm??
TTW Audio make an external armpod.http://www.ttweights.com/catalog/item/8679825/9981428.htmAlternatively, you can go to any local machine shop and have a simple armpod machined out of any material you want.
Best modern speaker to match old Mark Levinson
Timlub, my response was a bit tongue-in-cheek and was intended to infer that he can pretty much use any speaker he likes without reservation to drive capability. Sound quality is a different matter.
