The most haunting music you ever heard?
Grace by Jeff Buckley.
The Police Live
Hit and miss. The earlier songs sound great--the more layered songs from the later albums sound thin and laboured as a trio. Rate them 6-8 on a scale of ten.
Van Morrison remasters coming soon....
The 1974 live set is fantastic in its remastered form. On heavy rotation at our house.

War, Lowrider. Hommies love this at the shows. Midnight Oil, Earth & Sun & Moon, it rawks like a mother. Willie Nelson, Teatro, another Lanois-produced gem.

Beatles covers: better than originals?
Hey, how about the Rutles?
Best Bob Marley CD
The 30th version of Catch a Fire has the original sessions from Kingston on a two CD set. His sound was more organic and acoustic than on the final version, which was made more mainstream in the UK using additional studio musicians.
Live infectious funk jams....quality recordings
James Brown: Black and Proud
best artists in the last 15 years
Hands down, Radiohead. Second, Tom Waits. Third, Red Hot Chili Peppers. Concerning the former, don't know of a veteran group that peaked, i.e. put out three straight hit albums, so late in their career.
Best jazz covers of rock songs
Miles: Time after Time
Beatles covers: better than originals?
Al Green: I wanna hold your hand
Pros and Cons of built-in amps?
I tend to agree with Shadorne on this one. Two members of my family were crack studio musicians (you would know their name and I wish to remain anomimous in this site) and I grew up around all the great studios of the world. Rarely do I see most "...
