Remasters: which are the good ones?
I agree with Shadorne on the Aerosmith. I was never a fan but I think the remaster on Toys in the Attic is sterling. As you tastes are more classic rock, I can recommend the extended live set for The Who's "Live at Leeds", Jimi Hendrix's "First Ray...
Bryston DAC....any experience out there?
Just ordered mine. Seems to be the most neutral that I auditioned--I have ATC 20 studio monitor speakers and they match well because I love "precise sounding" music. This will be matched to a Wadia 170 transport and a 4th Gen iPod. With that said,...

AndrewSorry for the delay--have been on the road the last two weeks. I have heard all three. I myself like the warmer tubed sound better with these speakers and would recommend the Almarro or something similar. I would imagine that another Japanes...

ATC active speakers, owners please give input

Album which you have listened to most?
Album: Paul Kelly, May 1992. Single: Weezer, Surf Wax America.
vintage turntables?
Old Linn, Garrard and Thorens tables still set a high standard to which all others aspire to. Shindo in Japan has a highly modified Garrard 301 that sports a price tag of $20k. Vintage can be very desirable!
Nearfield listening
Try ATC monitors. The models 11, 19 and 20s work great.
Anyone here using vintage speakers?
Still have a pair of KEF 104/102s and a NAD 3200 power envelope.
Harbeth 7es-3 Sound
These speakers excel with vocals and mid range, where 90% of all recorded music typically lies. They have a relaxed feel and allow for extended listening--they are very musical in nature. They share a legacy with the original BBC Monitors that wer...

new nine inch nails for free download
Hey, he makes his money off merchandise and touring. This costs him nothing, as he has his own studio. Musicians should wake up and smell the coffee--this is brilliant.
