The Best Live album
Midnight Oil. Live in London. Bootleg. 1993. Smokes almost any recording for live soundstage and dynamics. Also love 1994 EP that Jonathan Demme's video of Neil Young playing "Change Your Mind."

Oh, the Alabama Shakes album rocks. The 22 year old singer sounds like Aretha fronting the White Stripes.

Kind of like the new Calexico Road Atlas, the newest by Coldplay (6 great songs on Side 1), Bruce Springsteen (best album in 20 plus years), and the new Jack Johnson live album (all duets).
Anyone else using the VonSchweikert vr35 speakers?
One of the great speakers on the market. I also love the new Sony SS's, Vandersteens, ATC and Focals. Did you audition these against any of those?

Marantz SA8004 is fundamentally musical
I think the 6004 and 8004 are the best players on the market for the money--a real steal. Japanese build quality. Beautiful ergo styling.PS: I loved the K-Pearl line from 2009. This is the best use of that engineering.
Harbeth 7ES3 or Devore Fidelity Nines?
Devore. Beautifully made and sound great: very musical across the sound spectrum. Harbeth are the kings of mid-range.
