Elac Loudspeakers? I just purchased a pair of elac FS 68 and I am having trouble getting enough bass from them...I agree they seem to need lots of power...anyone try Plinius? or simaudio?I think they can double-down into 4 ohm
Has anyone Tried the new PAD Musaeus Praesto revis does anyone know if venustas speaker needs a lot of current? its an 8 gauge cable. please advise on minimum power requirements. Thanks
Anyone like Mordaunt-short or Canton just wanted to add one more speaker to the list...the Elac FS 189...its not too tough to drive and the speakers have a rep for being dynamic...anyone hear?
Anyone like Mordaunt-short or Canton Thanks, do you like anything from Dali...there is a dealer near me.
Linn's Ninka speaker: Anyone heard it?? here is the deal with Linn, they are polite speakers so using proper amplification is important. I bought a used pair of Ninkas on here last year and I am very happy with them-keep in mind I am driving them with a near 5K Thule amp. Also, I use ve...
Has anyone Tried the new PAD Musaeus Praesto revis funny I just purchased the same combo, museaus speaker and Elementa advance IC...I believe the combo work really well. You get what both the ferox and fluid can do. They do different things so IMOP its better than going all ferox or all fluid. The...
Which purist interconnect?? Try new Aqueous, its a very balanced cable...one of the most balanced I have ever heard. New Elementa Advance is good too, and cheaper. My experience with cardas is that their cables tend to smear images, though I never heard their reference cables.
Cardas Cross vs. Kimber Silver Streak try the kimber ks 1016, its like hero on steroids. Lots of detail. I agree with the criticisms of the Cross, it is smooth but smears the images and to my hears, too flawed. Its only good for taming super bright systems.
Need to finally replace my 8TC, but with what? Just my opinion but give Nordost baldur a try in a bi-wire. Bass wont be quite as good but mid-range and upper frequencies are way better. It also is a very musical cable and works fine with kimber Ic's.
Non-Linn Speakers for a Linn Stereo System I have the Ninkas and drive them in Passive mode with new Majik-I integrated. Results are great even in passive. Big improvement over older Linn amps. Also, Linn has option to upgrade to new Dynamik power supply, I have not heard but am very curious.
Cable Costs Relative to System Stringreen makes a good point about no correlation between cost and performance. A lot depends on the equipment and how it reacts to cables. For example, I just changed to an all Linn system and very entry level kimber works much better than the m...
Is Linn gear sensitive to cables? I will end up with a bi-amp set up for the Ninkas...I was thinking of 8TC for the speakers, silver streak between the amps, and ks 1011 for the cdp.amps will be the new Majik-I integrated and 4100 with aktiv card.
Best way to aktively drive Linn Ninkas I also have a pair of Ninkas and I did here them with the new Majik-I charkra, the results were very good even in passive mode. My plan is to get both the Majik-I and a majik 4100 with the aktiv cards to go aktiv. I do have one question for anyone...
New Linn Majik-i or Naim Nait 5i with Linn Ninkas I am surprised at the responses your getting, I recently purchased a pair of used Ninkas and I am driving them with a Thule IA100, only a $1,500 amp...works fine. Keep in mind the Ninka @90 db's is not sensitive( i.e. easy to drive) I don't see wh...
Is Linn gear sensitive to cables? I have a pair of Linn Ninkas, I was thinking of switching to Kimber or analysis plus. But maybe I should wait until I get a Linn amp? I am saving up for the new Majik -I amp...going to an all linn system piece meal...too expensive to do all at once. |
