Is it worth it? I have a pair of Tyler Lynbrook Signature Monitors and they are incredible. My listening room is 12 x 16 and the speakers are 3 ft. out from the back wall and about 8 ft. apart. I am driving them with a 50 watt class A amp and the soundstage is hu...
Audio Research CD3 vs Electrocompaniet EMC 1 I have owned the EMC1 for about a year and it is a great player. The build quality is second to none. I have also listened to the AR CD3 for hours in a complete Audio Research system. The bottom line is this - both are outstanding players and you ...
Anybody using the Opera Super Pavarotti? I have listened to them quite extensively. For the money they are quite good. The cabnets are solid wood and outstanding. They are also very attractive. In a small room they could sound very nice provided you have decent equipment. There is very l...
Tubes Do It -- Transistors Don't. I have heard a lot of the expensive tube amps and always liked there sound better than SS. But recently I had the opportunity to listen to Edge's entire amp line including their signature model. They are incredible. Great SS is every bit as good a...

Tyler Ref Monitors vs. Dynaudio 1.3 MK11 I bought a pair of top of the line Lynbrooks from Tyler Acostics and they are the best speakers I have ever heard regardless of price. Ty Lashbrook is fanatical about his products and you can buy with great confidence from Ty. Also the prices he c...
The best speaker you ever heard? The best speakers I have ever heard are the speakers that are currently in my system at home Tylers acoustics Lynbrook monitors. They retail for $4,700 new. I have listened to loads of very expensive speakers ($5,000 to $30,000+) at various shows ...
Tyler Acoustics Reference Two VS Revel Studio I own the Linbrook reference and it is an outstanding product. I took a risk by not hearing this speaker but it only took seconds for me to realize the quality of these speakers. I bought these speakers used from Tyler and could not tell that they...
What's the best 7" & 8" woofers available? I have also enjoyed this thread. I almost always read all the speaker threads but this one really zeros in on the huge rip off most manufactures charge for their products. All of my equipment sounds great (to my ears) and are either produced by co...
Budget 2,500-Separates or one-box? Buy a used Electrocompaniet EMC1 the sound and built quality are excellent and you can't go wrong. This can be upgrade latter to 24/192 for about $1000.
EMC 24/192 or Mark Levinson 36S DAC I own the EMC 24/192 and with a good sounding CD cannot believe how good it sounds. I also own a good turntable setup and most of the time the EMC sounds better. I have not heard the M.L. you have asked about. For a one box set up I don't think it...
